BengalszoneBilly
Reds win! 20-16, feeling better.I'd feel better if Chicago would have held the lead in their game against St. Louis. Still only a game back in a very long season, so things are still looking quite good!
ArmyBengal
I'm really happy for Bailey starting off so well after his injury and even happier for the Reds. They go for the sweep today in an early afternoon game.
skyline
Chapman's starting to concern me. You can't be a reliever OR a starter if you can't get the ball over the plate...
Sea Ray
Chapman's starting to concern me. You can't be a reliever OR a starter if you can't get the ball over the plate...Exactly. He's not the answer if he can't throw strikes. He's not a major league pitcher right now. I doubt whether here is the place for him to work out his difficulties. He looked Steve Blass-like wild the last couple of times
Sea Ray
Also, all five of those hits were singles. No Astros made it to second base. There were two Astros on in the 7th inning. That's the only inning a runner reached 2nd
Stripes
Speaking of having no control whatsoever, Volquez has walked 5 batters through 2.1 IP.
skyline
Speaking of having no control whatsoever, Volquez has walked 5 batters through 2.1 IP.Yeah, it's frustrating to watch. Volquez hasn't made such a great case for a big pay day next season.
ArmyBengal
And still 3-1 Astros in the top of the 7th.BOOOOOOOO !!!
ArmyBengal
Check that, 3-2 Astros after a Heisey solo shot.CHECK THAT AGAIN...Back to back homers by Heisey and Stubbs, ties it.3-3...
Stripes
Leake is having a little trouble finding the strike zone in the 9th.
Stripes
Astros win 4-3.
ArmyBengal
Have to give more credit to Pence for that hit.Leake threw a pitch low and outside and Pence just went down for it and hit it to the opposite field.Kudos to him.Reds win the series. Stripes
I believe it. I've been relying on espn gamecasts and radio broadcasts all year, so I can't see the specifics.
BengalszoneBilly
Reds win the series.Again they take two out of three. Fine and dandy with me.
ArmyBengal
They should have swept, but it's hard to argue with series wins.Something about winning more than you lose huh ??Good stuff...
Sea Ray
Nice to win 2 out of three. I don't think any of us are arguing that they've hit their stride. They need Rolen back and I think Volquez may need a wake up call like to AAA or the bullpen so he knows we ain't gonna put up with this s**t all year. I'd like to see Heisey get a few starts in a row in LF too.
BengalszoneBilly
Let's see if we can take two out of three from the Cardinals in the next series!
