He didnt get an interview with Oakland yet, so they should try to call him.I do like that they are coaching the senior bowl, gives them a better look at the guys, i hope it helps them on draft day! Maybe's it's swinger's week at the Senior Bowl. Perhaps some of our guys will be courted away from here while we pick up a new OC among other things. From all indications, things are fluid at Paul Brown Stadium and nothing is set in stone. With several staffs league-wide in the process of making changes, and not just those looking for head coaches, the Bengals are apparently waiting see which dominos fall as they continue to evaluate their coaches, scheme, and personnel.Given that the Senior Bowl is a job fair for NFL assistants, something may not happen until then. I'm not sure this bodes well for the bengals. The guys we can afford to lose probably won't be "courted away".But it's great for getting a closer look at some of the prospects. A small scouting department is predicated on the coaches doing the scouting, I would guess. Which actually sounds like a better idea, coaches getting the players they feel they can coach. combatbengal
What did I tell you guys at the end of the season when we won those meaningless games. Oh yea that's right, it would screw up our draft pick which it did. We were locked in for the number two pick and ended up with # 4! Lets see what else did I say? Oh yea that's right, the Bengals see that we've improved so there won't be any need for change. Well here we are with no change so far!!! Who Dey. It's simple history and it's repeating itself!! He'll screw up his management of the team regardless

He wanted Marvin all along, and when Marvin finally figured out that there was nothing better for him he caved and came back. So the records dont matter, Mike Brown thinks this team is close to winning, and Marvin is the only guy who can get them there!!!Dont forget Mike Brown and the Bengals discovered Phones, so now they can do anything any other org. does with just there phones. Nothing will ever change Mike from who he is LOL LOL
cincy9275
i feel sorry for the kids, no way should they have to be coached by this staff. i can just see it now..... a young player trying to make a roster pulls a dumbass move. the coach stops practice and says hey what the hell was that? the kid replies that is what i learned from marvin's staff in the senior bowl. the coaching staff laughs endlessly and says, u put everything u learned from those hacks out of your mind or u will never make this roster!! HairOnFire
Am I the only one who thinks coaching in the Senior Bowl is being overrated by fans, the media, and perhaps the Bengals themselves? Past results have been mixed, and none of the players likely to be on the Bengals 1st round short list will be there.

The most extreme outcome is that a player has one great game or bad game. That in itself wouldn't be remarkable. Add in the fact that it's an all-star game, and...yeah.The most useful intel they'll get is regarding a kid's ability to pick up a playbook quickly, take direction, and general attitude. Other than that, it might help me fine-tune my opinion of a player if he really beat a quality opponent (or got trounced by a mediocre opponent) in a one-on-one type of situation. Line comes to mind, DE vs T for instance. But no, we're not talking about something that a whole lot of credence should be attributed. ArmyBengal
I don't really care if they are coaching or not. I guess it cant' hurt, but a scouting department that required more than one hand to account for would go a long way to lessen the need to coach the Senior Bowl.
