Yup. But all I'd be interested in is a single year as a backup making 2 million and change this year. Next year the contract balloons to 7 million per so the experiment would abruptly end. And FWIW he's become good friends with Carson Palmer.

Joe Reedy says the Bengals are one of five teams currently interested in Leinart as a backup. What level of interest they may have is yet to be determined, but I'm telling you....the personal relationship with Palmer could be a deciding factor.

UPDATE: If the Vikings, Titans, Jaguars, or Bengals have interest in Leinart, we're told that none of those teams as of last night made their interest known.

So we'll see.
