GoBengals! Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 My most memoriable was the loss to the Steelers in 2005... What a let down! Quote
HairOnFire Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 Have you ever had a sore on the inside of your mouth that hurt horribly everytime you touched it, but no matter how hard you tried you couldn't stop yourself from jamming your tounge into the wound over and over again? I can't really say why but this thread, as well as every post Hoosier has ever written, reminds me of the intense waves of pain, nausea, and numbness that resulted. Go figure, ehhh? Quote

Just wait until you see Chad hoisting that Lombardi trophy next year... Quote

Go figure, ehhh?Wow, that's quite the analogy! I thought it fitting. Just look at the responses. The 2005 playoff loss that nearly crippled Palmer and sent Chad into a multi-year spiral of douchebaggery. Tim Krumrie breaking his leg. Two Super Bowl losses. Drafting Akili. It's all a bit like picking at a wound, isn't it? Quote

Yet every now and then posts pop up with "What's the worst loss" "what's the biggest mistake" "Where were you when we lost ___ game?" or whatever.....It's just depressing. Why relive that? Quote

Dadraftnick Posted August 14, 2010 Report Posted August 14, 2010 How about the loss of Paul Brown? It put Mikey in charge.Even if you think that things are going OK now, you have to look at Mikeys record until now.Besides, the old man knew him some football. Quote

Why relive that?Every team has had it's ups and downs... I think it's important to stop, take a minute and see where the team was (even when we lost), where they are (how far we've come) and where they are going.. because you - yourself, have gone through those difficult times with the team... IMO THAT makes you a more dedicated fan. -Scout Quote
