semiotter Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 Once again, I love this season for the Reds and will ride it out all the way to the end with a smile on my face. However, they could have a few games in between them and the Cards right now if they played better against the crappier teams. My point is, I'm sick of saying "Well, at least the Cards lost" when we drop a game to the likes of the Pirates.Still in first though, so it most certainly could be worse !!!Cueto takes the mound to try to win another series tonight.Yeah, Bruce is killing me...GO REDS !!!Yeah Bruce is hitting into a fielders choice or the big strikeout....oh with a single here and there.... Quote
semiotter Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 Well the Reds just scored 6 runs in the 7th!!! And oh yes Dusty in all his wisdom put in Jay so he could keep his strikeout per game streak going!!!! Quote
semiotter Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 Oh snap 6 run lead in the ninth. That's bad!!!! Quote
ArmyBengal Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 And it's a final 9-4 Reds, after Masset gave up a homer in the 9th...Is there a reason Arthur Rhodes can't pitch anymore than a single inning ??He's an All-Star that you just don't see that much of. Saving him ?? Quote
ArmyBengal Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 Cueto gets the win (11-2) going 6 innings. He gave up 3 hits and a single run.Juan Francisco goes 3-5 with an RBI.Janish goes 3-3 with a homer.Bruce strikes out in a pinch hit role. (That didn't work)Springer, Bray, and Masset all gave up a run each from the bullpen. That sh*t can't keep happening. All in all, another series win for our Reds !!!Now a day off before heading to the Cubs for a 3 game set. Saving him ??I've actually been worried that they are overusing Rhodes. It seems like he pitches in just about every game. But yes, I would say that his age is a concern. We definitely need him in October. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 I have no issues if that's the case. I don't get to watch the games most of the times and keep track on the net. That being said, I probably miss many of the times he trots out for his single inning of work. Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 I don't get to watch the games most of the times and keep track on the net.Unless the Reds get slotted for an ESPN game, or play the Cubs where I can catch them on WGN, following them on the net is better than nothing. Quote
Stripes Posted August 5, 2010 Author Report Posted August 5, 2010 Yup, same here. I return to the dorm after class and when it's time I load up the gamecast page to follow the Reds in the only manner available. I love the ESPN games and often sit in the dining facility for two hours watching them. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 Yeah, the gamecast is how I keep track as well. It's better than nothing. Quote
