Kazkal
Lewis says Gresham is #1 on the depth chart again.Wonder if that was his or Carsons decision j/k
Sea Ray
Every source I've seen says nothing about the 5th yr being an option yr. I think it's 5 yrs/ $13.1 mill/>http://www.myfoxhouston.com/dpp/sports/nfl/100730-texans-get-top-pick-jackson-under-contractThat is confusing. When they say:Counting incentives the contract could be worth as much as $16.3 million.I have to think that includes the option yr and any and all incentives and if that's the case then the $13mill must have been if the 5th yr option was picked up. No question, that is a confusing way to state it
derekshank
Just another example of why having a top 10 pick might be as much of a curse as it is a blessing. Gresham maxes out at $18 million? Andre Smith's deal had $29.5 million guaranteed... with a max of $42 million. Is there really that much difference in overall quality between a #6 and a #21 pick? ArmyBengal
Lewis says Gresham is #1 on the depth chart again. As if he was ever removed from that position since the day he was drafted.I mean really, did anyone expect anything different ??So much for the other players "being here" huh ??Don't get me wrong though. I'm happy with the top 3 TE's that we have in Gresham, Kelly, and Coffman. This is truly heads and shoulders above what we had last season and Carson will benefit. How long have they been trying to put 2 TE sets on the field ??In the line of the Bud Light commercials:"HERE WE GO" !!! Wraith
The great thing about this signing is now we can just pay attention to what is on the field, I felt that the entire Training Camp last year was hijacked by the Andre Smith holdout. Gresham didn't even miss a week and all is good, he will be on the field through 5 preseason games and should be more than ready come week one. And the TO/Chad love-fest *bangs head on desk*.
