HoosierCat Posted July 18, 2004 Report Posted July 18, 2004 http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/footbal...ports-headlinesChris McAlister flew cross-country to iron out some issues with Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome Friday.Their last words were exchanged in the Ravens' parking lot and ended with them driving in opposite directions. Judging by McAlister's comments, it may be awhile before their paths cross again.Gotta love it. Quote

HoosierCat Posted July 18, 2004 Author Report Posted July 18, 2004 I have to say, I'm very curious about the 2004 Ravens. On paper, of course, there's no reason to think they'll bomb; they're basically the same team as last year. But there's been so much garbage surrounding this team in the offseason, and now this McAlister thing...I think if they get off to a good start they will be OK, but if they stumble early this team could turn ugly real quick. Just a gut feeling. Quote
schweinhart Posted July 19, 2004 Report Posted July 19, 2004 It'd be fine by me for Week 3 if McAlister shows the effects of missing camp, Boulware is half speed, and JLewis has sentencing on his mind. Quote
HoosierCat Posted July 21, 2004 Author Report Posted July 21, 2004 And even more good new for Ravens fans:-- Ray Lewis Fires Agents --Wed Jul 21, 2004 --from FFMastermind.com* WNST reports Baltimore Ravens LB Ray Lewis has fired his agents, Roosevelt Barnes and Eugene Parker. Lewis is currently in the middle of one of the largest contracts in the league. It's unclear as to why he fired his agents, but speculation is that Lewis may want to renegotiate his deal.Awww, poor wittle Way-Way. What, that million-dollar payout over the alleged murder cutting into your loose change jar? Quote
schweinhart Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 The Ratbirds really need to hire a criminal offense coordinator so the Lewises, Suggs, Fuller, and whoever else on their roster is so inclined can commit crimes at the same time and in the same area. They could buy the judge a Ratbirds cap and save on attorney fees with a group discount. Quote

He signed the contract, now stand by your signature and be a man. Just once, I'd like to see a player try to sit out and get sued for breech of contract. Quote
