I'm not sure this news deserved it's own thread.

I looked for a suitable thread but was unable to come up with one. We don't have a roster thread but I could make this one.

It's your call, but it does seem a little odd to have a mass thread for draft picks only to litter the board with a new thread each time a bottom feeder gets cut. And we know somebody is going to be cut with every draft pick signed, right?

We can't have a roster of 200 guys... 80 is the limit by camp. Add one.... subtract one = balanced equation.

I know 80 is the limit. And right now we are at , what... about 76 players? We have 5 unsigned draft picks. If we cut a guy every time we sign a draft pick, that means we will go to camp with 76 players. Not 80. It's math.

Look, I don't need a reminder from a hometown troll about when camp actually starts. I know when the deadline actually arrives. Just as I don't need to remind you how the Bengals are now facing their first real roster crunch of the season and with each draft pick signed another player will be cut. For example, add Stephens....cut Santucci.

Was that type of move mandatory?

No, not yet.

But it is going to happen again and again and we both know it.

I can honestly say that this is the first time JoeWrong is actually right. If you read all the articles on the official site it says that they are taking into account all the draft picks will be signed by camp, and that the roster is only one more player over the limit if that is in fact true. Look for a guy like Chris Davis to be the next to go IMO.

Actually, I have never been wrong about anything. Everything I have ever been accused of being wrong about I have actually turned out to be correct on.

I remember the very beginning of last season, I warned people that our offense was going to really struggle to score points, and that we had no chance to win a playoff game because our offense was incapable of scoring mroe than 17 points in a game. People said it didn't matter. They said all I should be concerned about was if we were able to squeak out games in the regular season against bad teams. Well, I was right.

Here's a fun fact. If you go to YouTube and do a search for "Joe Pong" you'll soon be watching dozens of videos of a Japanese sitcom featuring an inept husband who just so happens to be gay, his sexually frustrated wife, a loving daughter named Kimiko, and a feces throwing pet monkey named Shoo-Shoo.

Note: I don't actually speak or write Japanese so when watching the videos I had to guess what was being said. Furthermore, I just assumed there was a monkey involved since there always is in Japanese television. That said, I'm almost certain the Joe Pong character was gay. And stupid.

But they did manage to score more than 17 points in a game, didn't they? In fact, even after losing Chris Henry, the so-called key to everything, the Bengals managed to score 24 points against San Diego.

No, people pointed out how the Bengals weren't even trying to score a buttload of points...preferring instead to grind out victory after victory using a powerful running game and ball control strategy. In response you offered a silly rant that was right out of fantasy football. Best, you did nothing but bitch and moan about a team that swept the AFCN and won the division with relative ease....all because they didn't play ball they way you wanted.

Well, I was right.

Santucci has more or less been part of the team since 2007. So based on that, news of his departure doesn't really fit the spirit of the Draft Pick Signings thread. I thought it was more in line with the Jason Shirley thread from a couple of days ago. Very quickly this will drop off of page one and will be long forgotten.

Since this thread turned into a mini-bash fest, we should start fresh and create a new thread for roster moves since camp starts next week. And since you also seem to have a quick temper to go with that quick wit, it's probably a good time to read you your rights. You need to tone down the name calling.

I didn't say the bengals had a better record on the road than at home. I said they played better. Hell, the bengals played awful at home against the Lions last year and won the game. They played much better against san diego on the road, but lost the game.

Once again, the only time people thnk I am wrong about something, it's due to their own lack of comprehension about what I ACTUALLY said.
