redsbengalsbucks
For me I have never followed the NBA much, but next year I will be rooting for a Lebron championship so he can stick it to the Cleveland area again. Browns/Indians/Cavs fans are some of the worst sports fans there are(if not for Stealer fans they would have it wrapped up as the #1 worst) and anything that annoys them this much can not be a bad thing. This is almost as funny as watching Browns fans after Modell ran off with the Browns. All they could come up with was that Browns fans are some of the most loyal and best NFL fans that there are, and Modell is a jerk. Sounds like the same argument is being made now. If this is true , Why do major sports figures in your city continue to crap all over the "Mistake by the Lake"?Go Lebron!!
Stripes
While I think most of the commentary in this thread is absolutely illogical and under-thought, it is funny. Well played, y'all.
HairOnFire
It's Cleveland. It blows. There's nothing to do in that town except masturbate to kiddie porn while doing lines and cry. Fixed. This guy looks exactly like I'd imagine a person caught with kiddie porn would look like. So in other words....he is who we thought he was? jjakq27
I can only imagine the hatred and anguish going on up there. They say there is a gigantic billboard of LeBron that "greets' fans as the enter town and it was taken down yesterday. And I read that the Cavs gift shop has taken every single LeBron item and removed them from the store. />http://otrsportsonline.com/2010/07/10/lebrons-billboard-coming-down-in-cleveland/The only thing I can equate it to is when Pete Rose left Cincinnati after the 1978 season. His career was much more advanced than LeBron's, having won three batting titles, one MVP and two World Championships in 16 seasons. The story is the Reds grudgingly offered him $400K after getting paid $250K in 1978. The Phillies doubled the offer and gave him $800K and that wasn't even the highest offer. The Pirates and Royals supposedly offered over $1M and some other enticements. In light of the revelation of his gambling issues and his deteriorating marriage, the move to Philly was an easy choice. But I hated him for leaving for several years. I rooted against the Phillies in the 1980 series and hoped that he would fail in Philadelphia. It wasn't until 1983 when the Phils reunited him with Tony Perez and Joe Morgan and they made the World Series that year that things changed. A little distance gave me some perspective and maturity to assess the past. His return to Cincy in 1984 made everything go away.It may be a catastrophic mistake by LeBron even if he wins a title. Look at guys like Stockton and Malone. They never won a title but they will be revered by their fans forever. LeBron is over and done in NEO. They have long memories and little forgiveness. Just ask Art Modell.
BengalszoneBilly
Go Lebron!!I'm looking forward to the first time James travels back to Cleveland in a Miami uniform to play the Cavs. Is it possible to play basketball wearing a Kevlar vest, because I think he may need one. BengalPimp
After seeing that video, Can't say I blame Lebron much. I mean, did you see some of the chicks in that bar? If those are "typical" Cleveland women, I don't blame the guy for chasing after some of the hard bodies in South Beach....

BengalPimp
I have to say, I like the fact that Lebron completely screwed the city of Cleveland, and the Cavs franchise. He bailed on them after making them trade for, and sign mediocre players to ridiculous contracts thereby crippling the franchise...Like Anderson Varejao's 6 year $50 mill deal....hahaha over $8 mill per...Or Mo Williams and his 6 year $51.5 mill deal....hahah another $8.5 mill per....And even trading away their 2010 1st Rd pick for Antawn Jamison and picking up his contract which still has 2 years and $28 mill left on it ($14 mill per). Thats over HALF (over $30 mill of the projected $58 mill Cap) on three mediocre players(Jamison is 33 yrs old and not the player he was)....Lebron destroyed that franchise, and it will probably take them about 10 years to rebuild to even become a 1st Rd playoff victim....I suggest they change the team name to The "Cleveland Powerball" because they'll be in the NBA lottery for the next decade. ArmyBengal
Another day, still laughing my ass off. It just keeps getting better. Now today on ESPN radio they were talking about how the Cavs owner went into complete meltdown mode and acted like a teenager who was turned down by a girl he had a crush on. Classic !!! Like I said before, I really don't care about basketball all that much and don't care what Lebron did or didn't do, but for the amount of sh*t he has caused Cleveland he immediately gives me reason to really like him and come this season of basketball, I'll be found rooting for the Heat to win it all. If for no other reason than to see what kind of further reaction we get from the Cavs owner and Cleveland as a whole, who were promised they would win a championship before Lebron does in Miami.GO HEAT !!! There's a few threads on the subject over at the Browns site. Of course, they're oblivious to the fact that the entire country is laughing at them. They could have just settled for being felt sorry for. The owner had to go and up the ante.

In fact, I hear a lot of people talking about Miami being one of the most hated franchises at present. The people laughing at the fans are those who have had the misfortune of having interacted with Cleveland fans. Those are the ones that understand how hilarious the whole situation is.
ArmyBengal
Oh the fans are indeed making it worse. Why ??Because they are all going on and on about how sh*tty it was for Lebron to handle this whole thing with an ESPN special. They are calling him an attention whore, a self glorifying prick, a coward, and many other names I've heard spewed from the mouths of Cavs fans. Why is this an issue ??Easy...Had he chosen the Cavs instead of the Heat, those same fans spewing hatred would be all over his dick, saying how great he was and how he's the kind of person other athletes should aspire to become. It's all sour grapes and I'm pretty sure I will continue to find this funny for quite some time.
