BengalszoneBilly Posted July 15, 2004 Report Posted July 15, 2004 Needless to say the Reds need to get off on the right foot tonight. If the lead gets to be over 10 game...fergetaboutit! Quote
bengalsfan33 Posted July 15, 2004 Report Posted July 15, 2004 Again we need to try to atleast win 2 of 3 or sweep thhe Cards. If we sweep them we can pick up 3 games on them. That would help alot if we won a few against them. Quote
Barbarian Posted July 15, 2004 Report Posted July 15, 2004 Welp, when does the annual Carl Lindner Firesale Special begin??? Quote
skyline Posted July 15, 2004 Report Posted July 15, 2004 yeah, im worried that this second half may get rather ugly. Quote
bengalsfan33 Posted July 15, 2004 Report Posted July 15, 2004 Ina few days we should start seeing a few moves made. Probably going to get rid of Wilson and Lidle but oh well. Quote
richmond_mat Posted July 15, 2004 Report Posted July 15, 2004 Dang it, I just had to turn down tickets to Saturday's game. IF they can make some hay this weekend then I might consider the playoffs a possibility. Quote
xjjeep90 Posted July 15, 2004 Report Posted July 15, 2004 Actually it is a 4 game series so 3 of 4 would be nice (especially at home). Quote
Kirkendall Posted July 15, 2004 Report Posted July 15, 2004 This is Casey's first game back by the way... Quote
bengalsfan33 Posted July 15, 2004 Report Posted July 15, 2004 Yeah Casey is back. The Reds sent Corky Miller back to the Minors to make room for Sean Casey. Quote
bengalsfan33 Posted July 15, 2004 Report Posted July 15, 2004 Good start for the Reds 1-0 on error by Morris. Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted July 16, 2004 Author Report Posted July 16, 2004 Good start for the Reds 1-0 on error by Morris. Damn. That didn't come close to being enough. A 7-2 loss is a tough way to restart the season after the All Star break. This doesn't bode well... Quote

BengalszoneBilly Posted July 16, 2004 Author Report Posted July 16, 2004 We gotta get a win outta Wilson tonight, sheesh! Quote
bengalsfan33 Posted July 16, 2004 Report Posted July 16, 2004 I think Wilson can get the job done tonight. Maybe he can be the first to get 10 wins for the Reds since 2002. Quote
semiotter Posted July 16, 2004 Report Posted July 16, 2004 Hey what was it ...Bases loaded time to get back in the game and LOSER LARUE strikes out then are HERO LARSON hits the d.p ball..Later in the game 2 men on ,this time L. LARUE HITS THE FIELDERS CHOICE BALL and LARSON finishs the inning with another out. Gezz win are they gonna give these two there walking papers. Quote

Didn't you just say that if the Reds started to win this weekend then it's playoff bound? One loss and you're jumping off the ship? Come on Matt, the losing streak the Cards will go on and another injury to the Cubs and we're on top! (Yea, I'm a little optimistic) Quote
bengalsfan33 Posted July 17, 2004 Report Posted July 17, 2004 Graves and Jones blew it tonight.Wilson pitched an excellent game tonight. Quote
semiotter Posted July 17, 2004 Report Posted July 17, 2004 Wilson should have 13 wins now. Way to go bullpen. Is it football season yet? Quote
ackley1 Posted July 17, 2004 Report Posted July 17, 2004 F**kin Graves!!! He's an overrated BOB!!!! Well, come on football season. Quote

Come on Matt, the losing streak the Cards will go on and another injury to the Cubs and we're on top! (Yea, I'm a little optimistic) Yes I did say that a big weekend could propel them, but are they having one? It looks like the redbirds are about to make it 3 in a row. (edit: but the redlegs pulled it out, so a split is now possible)I haven't watched many games this year, but from what I've seen the reds do not look like a playoff team. Did you see the runner who should have easily scored from second but the catcher had the ball when he was halfway between third and home! Instead of 1 out and bases loaded, they had two outs and men on first and second. Pathetic. I want the reds to win but they just do not look like a good team on the field. :player: It had better be a long losing streak for the cards if our reds are going to have a chance. Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted July 17, 2004 Author Report Posted July 17, 2004 It had better be a long losing streak for the cards if our reds are going to have a chance. Unless a miracle happens the Reds ONLY chance is the NL wildcard, and even that's beginning to look doubtful. Quote
bengalsfan33 Posted July 17, 2004 Report Posted July 17, 2004 And this one belongs to the Reds! Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted July 17, 2004 Author Report Posted July 17, 2004 And this one belongs to the Reds! Thank God! I couldn't deal with another sweep. Quote
bengalsfan33 Posted July 17, 2004 Report Posted July 17, 2004 I know how you feel billy. Were still in the wild card race. Only 2.5 games back. We still have a chance to go to the playoffs. Quote
