Leon Hall ranked as 2nd best CB in NFL

Here's a stat for you guys.....

Joseph = 4 seasons and 11 INT's

Hall = 3 seasons and 14 INT's

hmmm....

Simply means Hall can hold on to a ball better :P

Also means that Jjoe was hurt for a few of those games and had about 8 dropped INT's his first season. I'm to lazy to go find it, but I would like to see a comparison of Pass defended between the two of them.

Per rotoworld, Leon Hall has 60 over his first three years. JJoe has 68 over his first four years. That works to Hall averaging 20 a year and JJoe averaging 17 a year. Pretty close.

I cant remember, but it seems that Jjoe missed a few games his second season to injury if these are taken into account it seems that thier stats would be almost identical. Also he played most of the 2008 season on a bad leg, that had to keep him down a bit.

I am just happy that the Bengals finally have two very good CB's, I really dont care which one is small percentage points better than the other.

Leon Hall is the better cb of the two, and it's not close.

To Each Their Own I'd Agreed Leon is more Polished but I wouldn't say it's not close because they have different skill sets and Joseph is also working on past weakness's (not being physical in the run game)...I'd say it's close because Halls Fundamentals are more sound Joseph will always be more athletic and have the higher ceiling...

Hall draws the other team #1s and he operates pretty much on an island in shutting them down. Hall is physical in support of the run game, and a sure tackler. He is quietly superb, and I am stunned at how even the fanbase misses how good he is.

Hall is a superb Corner but he is human He tends to get more help over top then Jjoe does and He also plays 5-10 yards off the Line where I see Joe play much more Press...Sorry for trying be realistic I Love Hall to death and wouldn't trade him for any other corner besides Revis(Warfield is awesome but Leon has Youth compared to other top corners)

Nobody here is missing how good Hall is, it is actually that you seem to be missing just how good Jjoe is. The Bengals have two of the best CB's in the NFL, and if they stay healthy they will be the best duo next season.

Joseph takes more risks, but with his speed he makes up for it often with his last-second knockdowns. Hall is probably better by definition, but he also is proned to getting toasted every once in a while (more-so than other elite corners, at least). I think their combined strength lies in minimizing receiver separation on intermediate and short routes, often causing opposing quarterbacks to dance stationary in the pocket against the Bengals inconsistent pass rush with absolutely nowhere to throw the ball.

Hall is finally getting the credit he deserves... Let Joseph go in free agency and resign Hall for big money.

You are joking right? Jjoe is as good or better than Hall in most aspects of the game, wiht both the Bengals have a chance at winning with defense, with either one gone that chance becomes alot less likely.

Before membengal tears me apart for saying Jjoe is better than Hall, that is not what I am saying. I also believe that Hall is as good or better than Jjoe in most aspects of the game. They both have stregths and weeknesses, in different areas. I have been wanting a CB duo this good for years and if the Bengals allow either of these two to get away without some seriously good compensation, the FO is as stupid as many on this site have been stating it is.

Wrong. Keep them both. I'm in the camp that Hall is the better corner, but JJoe is good in his own right. Lest your forgot, the thing that allows Zimmer to do what he does is the play of both of our corners. They need to keep them both.

I'd like to see the Bengals keep both, as well, but the contracts CBs get in this league is ridiculous. By the time they each hit UFA territory (unless the Bengals re-sign them), the best CBs in the NFL will be paid nearly 20 million dollars per year.

Considering the price tag at that position, I believe the Bengals should make Joseph their first priority. By my eye, he justs seem like the one that has more talent, and his errors or more of a concentration thing than a physical thing, in most cases.

Not only that but they can keep Hall easily for 3 more years (2 contract 1 tag)

Indeed Hence why I'd like to see them get their deals done early more so not of our current FA's really gonna command any money.
