Look, I know things are getting pretty fuzzy these days with the liberal use of anti-terror (and other wholly misused and hysterical) laws but how the hell could they charge someone with merely being in the presence of someone in a merry state without evidence that he supplied the alcohol? He's not their legal guardian and I assume wasn't forcing them to double fist (ooh er missus!) tequila shots in the car at the time of the incident or he would have probably been charged.

Maybe they did look into it but found no evidence. So, nowt happened. Job's a goodun.

You're right, they can't find him guilty strictly on the basis that the girls were drunk. They'd need to investigate a little and see how they got that way. It may very well be that he wasn't responsible for providing the alcohol but how they got drunk is an interesting question to raise.

Indeed. Talking of accidents - just found out about Toyota's problem over there. Could be the death of them in the States now the media have started on them in earnest. Maybe they shouldn't have dragged their feet over the problem, could have saved themselves hundreds of millions of dollars. I'll stick with my Alfa thanks. The doors may fall off and the windscreen wipers have a tendency to squeak but I can start and stop well enough.

Indeed. I can't shake the thought that this accident may have prevented something that could have been far more destructive to Rey's life and career.

Looks like Rey is headed to rehab. BTW what ever happened to patient confidentiality and the NFL's non-disclosure policy for strike one?

Good for him,Hate that it happened but atleast he's trying to grow and learn from his mistake.

I've seen nothing to indicate that in-patient rehab was part of his sentence. Which makes me think Rey is just doing it on his own. To me that is a great indicator that he could succeed, he really wants it.
