If we could somehow get Antonio bryant in FA, and rylee cooper out of florida, our recieving core would be beast, so beast that quan cosby, coles, and jerome would be battling for the 5th spot. Jp foschi is a good player, he can block and catch, chase can catch and will be healthy, so i wouldnt mind keeping kelly as a blocker, but stanfords TE is quite the blocker so if we can get him (and we stay healthy) then we'll be a solid offensive team and it only cost us two of our 3rd round picks.... Which means we can use our 1st two picks for a safety or a lineman for 1st and 2nd rounds, Please read these boards mr mike! haha

I like this idea, but I'm not fond of another Florida WR. They never seem to reach NFL level, even when they have all the tools. I thought Caldwell might break this mold, but he seems to have hit the wall on his talent curve.

Bryant would be a good fit, big target that runs good routes and any other rookie WR that has good hands would help push the passing game forward. I dont see a big need for a high round TE, with Foscshi, Coffman and Kelly or another FA vet TE. It would be great to get the best OG in the draft and pickup a starting FS in the second, allowing them to get a good WR in the third.

So is it safe to assume Kelly will be back? I haven't heard much about how his recovery is going. I'm not holding my breath...

@DC - Brandon Marhsall. Vincent Jackson.

Both are RFAs unless the labor deal gets re-done. I don't think Jackson smells the open market. Marshall could be complicated, but unless McDaniels is even dumber than I think he is, they'll kiss and make up. In either case, we'd have to outbid the old team and give them a first and a third (I'm assuming those two would get the highest RFA level).

Yeah, we can forget about Jackson, and Marshall would be very expensive. Besides, is her really the type of character we want to add to the team?

What does it matter if Marshall would be "expensive" - lots of things that are exceptional are expensive... often it is worth it.

"Expensive" should not be the first roadblock.

First off, Riley Cooper is legit. I was hoping Andre Caldwell would break the unfortunate trend that Gator receivers tend to have in the NFL, but Riley Cooper WILL break that trend. He's 6'3 215lbs. and he runs a 4.4 and loves to block. I would love to have him.

I would literally crap myself if we got Brandon Marshall. It will never happen, he'll prob. go to the Jets or the Ravens. The Ravens will he trade for Marshall or Boldin.(which will suck)

I don't care how much getting Brandon Marshall would cost, he's worth it. We're hoping Dez Bryant falls to us at #21, which he prob. won't. I would gladly trade our 1st round pick to get Brandon Marshall...I know that's not all they would want, give them what they want. You're getting a great player but you're also keeping him from going to Baltimore where he would kill us.

Apparently, you've forgotten who runs this team. Expensive IS the first road block with Mikey. Maybe things are changing, but I don't see him over paying anyone, even with Marshall's play-making ability.

What team do you think you cheer for? That Washington Redskins?

The Bengals are frugal, and I think that's one of the few things they've done well over the years. They'd rather build through the draft, which is the correct approach assuming you know how to draft people. They've struggled with that in the past, but hopefully they've turned a corner in that department.

And it's not just the expense attached the Marshall, but all the baggage you're buying along with him. Yes, they'll bring those guys in as they have with Tank Johnson, Larry Johnson, and Cedric Benson, but none of those three cost us multiple draft picks or mounds of money as I'm assuming Marshall would.

The best WR to me is Dez Bryant, but I'm not a huge fan of WR's #1 and I doubt he'll slide to Cincinnati. I really like Gilyard is he's there in the 2nd, but DE is what we need. Pressure, pressure, pressure!

I'd take a DT over a DE in the first. There's a couple of studs that might be there at #21. Williams from Tennessee, or Houston from Texas. Better pressure up the middle will help the perimeters too.

I thought we were ok at DT with Peko and Sims, but that might be a good call as well. What about if Taylor Mayes is available?

I would think that if they sign Tank then they won't go DT in the first. If Mays is there at #21 he will be a Bengal.
