PhunkE1
I was curious what all the diehard FF players thought. I cannot stand owning Bengals players, even the few that were worth owning coming into this year. I just hate thinking about it in the back of my mind during a game. I have owned Palmer in my long time deep keeper (keep 10 from year to year; we also start 2 QB's) for the past 5 years . I traded for him at the right time, but have really only gotten one premium year. What do you think about it?

Probably the only one is Benson. Palmer has had one good game this year. Chad is good as a second or third string guy on your FF roster. There really isn't anyone else. I have Caldwell and in another league have Coles and they both don't get very many points. The TE position is not worthy of any Bengals on a FF roster. You might want to own the Bengals D this year as a backup defense. They really don't have any players maybe Odom at the beginning of the year against GB that are worth starting. I don't care what the stats are for Bengals players in FF as long as the Bengals keep winning.

Started him against Oakland.Really, unless you had the foresight or spot to grab Benson, there is not a Bengal that has been worth adding to your FF Team. ArmyBengal
I picked up Bernard Scott when Benson went down as well. I did the same thing with Coles when Henry went down, but I had better depth, so that didn't last long. I have the Bengals defense and they have done well for me, but I also have the Saints defense. We have punters in our league (waste of time) and I had Huber early in the season, but switched him up a while back. I do like having Bengals players, because it gives me yet another reason to be rooting for the Bengals to do well, but it's been more finding good matchups as opposed to having someone all season long. What do you think about it?I believe that there is a fundamental disconnect between playing fantasy football and being a strong fan of a team. The perfect fantasy player is somebody who has no real allegiance (or likes a team that is in the cellar every year). For me, it made it more difficult to watch a Bengals game when I had in the back of my mind that if the Bengals were going to lose, at least Marion Barber could have a good game against them. I stopped playing years ago for that very reason. Maybe others are better at segmenting their fandom, but I found it consistently irritating. ArmyBengal
I currently also have Big Ben as my starting QB (hasn't disappointed until this week) and Ray Rice as a starting RB (very pleased). The only time I find it hard is when those players go up against the Bengals, but that's simple as well in that I hope they have stellar fantasy days in a losing effort on the field. Ox
That's the bitch about FF. Half the time if you're playing against a Bengal, it makes you root against your own team. Or at least coming up with which player you want to score. It's so weird really. But to answer your question, I start Benson and Ocho. This year, in all 3 of my leagues I took benson in the 7th or 8th round, and he has been my best player in all 3 leagues. He is the only one I got this year though
