agreen_112
I think they've done a pretty good job but there is so much room for improvement.. This week will be the biggest test that our LB'ing core has faced. I'm expecting a breakout game by Rey Maualuga.. I said it here first. Fumbles, big hits, Pick 6? Something big is going to happen for Rey Sunday!I really think he needs to be in the middle by next season though...
Wraith
I hold out hope that they will draft Brandon Spikes for the MLB in the first next year, a LBer corp of Rivers, Spikes, and Maualuga would dominate the league for years. I am quite pleased with the current group. Dhani may be losing a step but Brandon Johnson, Jeanty and Abdul Hodge are about as solid of a bench as you'll get.I think adding outside speed, maybe Kindle (Texas) or Sapp (Clemson), would add the most from next years draft, and allow Rey to move inside. They could also get a FA outside backer.

agreen_112
I'd like to see a S or OLB with the #1. Then a D-Lineman with #2.
Ickey44
I'd like to see a S or OLB with the #1. Then a D-Lineman with #2.I don't think we need a safety. We've got Crocker and Ndukwe and possibly Williams coming back. I think we definitely need a LB if Rey is moving to the middle next year to take over for Dhani. I like Brandon Johnson, but I don't know if he'd he's a strong side backer, he's more suited for weak side. Also, a guard to eventually replace Bobby wouldn't be a bad idea. Ask me this question again after the season. Sunday can't get here soon enough!!!
JoePong
We may have the luxury of taking the best player available since we don't have any glaring needs. I would say on defense we still need pass rushers though, especially with Odom's injury. Who knows if he will be the same when he comes back. A ruptured achilles is a big deal. Michael Johnson should just get better but he may not be an every down player. If we move Rey to MLB, then we could take an OLB, and maybe we could fill two needs by getting a stong-side OLB who is a good pass rusher.Even though we have decent safeties, if there is a big-time playmaker available like head and shoulders or ed reed, it would be hard to pass on an impact player like that.On offense, we may need to plan for the future by taking a guard. I don't think Bobbie Williams is as close to the end as some people seem to think, but he the oldest guy on the line. Mathis and Livings have been solid, but it's not like they can't be upgraded. A great TE like the guy from Oklahoma is a possibility, even though he was injured this season.I wouldn't even mind if they took a big-time WR if one is available. Chad and Lavaranues are both getting older, don't know if Henry will be back. I like Caldwell but he's likely just a good #2. I also think Simpson and Purify will both be solid. I just think we should always make sure Carson has a stud WR to throw to. We don't have anyone waiting in the wings after chad is done.
