ArmyBengal
Put me in the camp that would rather not see a CB on the roster that is 5'8...I liked seeing Crocker get time in the nickle package, allowing the safeties to get more playing time and better players on the field at the same time. HoosierCat
I think Ivy might be an upgrade to Jones (not saying much) but OTOH Jones has more of the dreaded "upside."Really, tho, I'm more interested in Pope. Not that I want him per se, but if teams are going to do what Denver did and just play deep (and they will) to neutralize Henry and Chad we need a new TJ who won't drop balls. And can we cut JJ and bring Pressley up please? blueridge
Pope or Coffman. We need a big receiving threat in the middle of the field.

BengalszoneBilly
Leonard Pope was a player I was praying Cincinnati would draft out of Georgia, but they showed no interest and Arizona took him instead. I got to watch his (lack of) progress with the Cardinals, along with his poor blocking abilities. At 6'8' he is just too tall to get that job done. A rare instance where height works against you. Other players get lower, gain leverage, and end up getting past you! He's at most one a dimensional player with great red zone potential, but you have to bring more to the table than that at tight end in the NFL. HAPPYJAQ
I'm a Pressley fan and think he's a very solid prospect, but you can't put an undrafted rookie free-agent in the lineup in place of a veteran at this point, despite the veteran's issues. The guy barely played at all in camp or in the pre-season, in being the #3 FB for most of the Summer. I think it creates too much pressure on an offensive line, and the offense in general (especially after struggling last week), in making such a move. Jeremi has been more than adequate since his return to date, and I think he'll get better as the season goes along. Folks have to remember that Jeremi's last regular-season football game before last week was in the '07 season.JP Foschi played more than I expected in the last game, and looks like he might be around here, especially if you consider that the Bengals have obviously passed on Pope for him. I know he caught a pass, but did anybody notice how he did run-blocking?I'm somewhat surprised that the Bengals would look at a guy like Ivy, although he he a superb Special Teams player. Sadly, I still kinda believe we haven't seen the last of Jamar Fletcher, who I thought looked better in this past preseason than in any point during the regular season last year.
