agreen_112
As stated in the past, time and a showcase of Henry's talent would work in his favor to make everyone forget about all of the off-field problems.. Henry is straight now and he's having the best preseason of his career. Thank GOD for Mike Brown using his head for once in his life when he gave Henry his 15th chance. lolFrom the site: Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry is 16 yards shy of the NFL preseason receiving lead, is tied for third with 13 catches, and his 16.7 yards per leads all players with double-digit catches. He also has a TD catch in each of the first 3 preseason games..The dude is on fire. You may say that it's because he's played against the other teams second stringers... I don't buy it. I think he's an amazing talent, always has been. I love that the Bengals are diverse enough to get him plenty of reps in the game. As far as I see it though, Henry is our #2 WR. For the record, I'm banned to this day from Bengals.com message boards for showing my support for Chris Henry during all the problems.. As a matter of fact, I would've never found this site if it wasn't for Chris Henry. How ironic.

How ironic.Mark that down as one more thing I am pissed at Chris Henry aboutAlso, mark me down as entirely unsuprised that you have been banned from legitimate websites. The biggest (but not only) problem with your 'analysis' is that Chris has for the most part been facing #2 and #3 defensive units. Not starters.
agreen_112
Face it.. You were wrong about Henry. He's a stud. Now show some love for your team bitch. lolColes is good but Coles < Henry.REally though with the way Brat runs this offense, there's no need to Say #1,#2,#3 they'll all get plenty of reps. I'm just happy we have all three!

I guarantee you Steeler fans would love to see less of Chris Henry on the field. There are fans I've talked to that are of the opinion that Chris Henry's loss in the playoff game vs Pitt was every bit as big as the loss of Carson. Folks seem to forget that Henry was hurt on that same play.

Henry is very talented. Just think of where he could be now if he'd not done all that stupid off the field s**t. I say he should break in at number 3, and if he continues to prove himself, then move to number 2.
TJJackson
So you still won't support the kid?Kid is the right term. Mind of a 12 year old delinquent on a NFL WR's body. No, I dont tend to be supportive of individuals who 1) wave loaded firearms at police officers2) drink with and sleep with underage girls3) squander huge sums of money such that one's family is out on the street and one's mother is working at Sonic4) actively seek out trouble in a gangsta-wannabe fashion5) help destroy my team's entire seasonHave you watched Hard Knocks? It's unsuprising to me that despite your frequent claims here of financial troubles, you still have premium cable. oh, and you buy all you can eat suite tickets at the red's stadium. yes, agreen certainly has his priorities straight. good decision making there, dude! The dude is obviously over all the off-field problems.Lots of things that are 'obvious' to you are often anywhere from 'less than obvious' to 'flat out wrong' to any reasonable person. I'll call this one somewhere in between those two. He's straight now. He's going to have a big season TJ. MB made the right decision.Remains to be seen

TJJackson
from: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/rapid-reports/team/CINAlthough WR Chris Henry has caught three TD passes this preseason and has averaged 16.7 yards per catch, coach Marvin Lewis wants more. "Chris scored, but also Chris didn't make a tackle on an interception return and had a number of plays that weren't very good. There's more to playing receiver than just catching the ball." He's very good at running routes and catching the ball, but isn't the complete player that someone like Coles is.
TJJackson
Yepas WR #3, she should also be doing work on special teams, but she's too much of a short-bus'er to understand all those extra playsChris Henry Playbook - all 2 pages of it-------------------------Play 1: go long, ChrisPlay 2: go to end zone and jump, ChrisPalmer in the huddle: Ok guys, XRay 20 left split zone Q, on 27Henry to Palmer: izzat a 1 or a 2, Boss? Henry: *shows Carson his wristband with his two plays diagrammed on it*Palmer to Henry: that's a 1, Chris - we're on our own 8 yard line, dude....I've got a good arm, but I don't throw 97 yards, OK? and stop calling me boss!Henry to Palmer: Hokay by me boss
jjakq27
The key will be whether he is willing and able to go over the middle on a consistent basis. He's a tall guy but sometimes his arms are too short if you know what I mean.

Not to the extreme of Hoosier vs Hair... but funny stuff nonetheless.fair enough.i do think tj is right about the 1 or 2 thing. it's either a fade in the endzone or a fly up the sideline, but he's good at those things. it doesn't help for the majority of the drive and therefore he should probably stay the number three. and jjakq is totally right he's got t-rex arms over the middle. Kazkal
I highly doubt Chris starts coles is more of a complete WR and and are you really surprised that henry is leading WR in the preseason? he's getting more play time then any of our other WR's...PS,Last time I checked Andre was number 3# even because he was able to play the slot.. agreen_112
You got me there TJ I do like to party lol. But the tix were free from my work.. I hope you get the chance to check it out sometime at GAB. The champions club is awesome... 1) TJ the gun wasn't waived an officer it just so happened that a cop "seen" Henry waiving a gun at someone who was attempting to assault him. Self-defense in my opinion. That's the reason there was a slap on the wrist. Florida gun laws are nothing.2) My girl is 20. My other girl is 19. Then there are a couple others that I party with out in oxford that are under 21. The girls Henry had at a hotel were over 18, they were legal. Get out of the house bro, there are young broads partying everywhere, even with NFL players.3) Henry isn't loaded with cash which is one of the reasons I said to keep him. We aren't even paying him enough and he's happy.4) Wrong place at the wrong time.. He's a young dude and made some bad decisions that he's learned from. 5) Wrong. MB destroyed our season. That's a fact. Marvin is holding Henry down if he doesn't give him enough reps.. The dude is a monster, he can't be guarded in the red zone.Chris took a big hit in the middle, he's still adjusting to it. He's NOT affraid to go across the middle. He'll be big on 3rd down for us this year... In my opinion, he's our #2.
TJJackson
In my opinion, he's our #2.Your opinion **is** #2Your 'facts' are #2The man is poor judgement personified. He makes poor decisions off the field, and he makes them on the fieldHe is a one trick pony, not a #1 receiver. If he did not have that one trick, he'd be selling crack on a corner somewhere, or dead.
Pidge
Henry has all the talent to be the #1 receiver. As it is right now, he's behind Chad as the deep threat and Coles as the between the numbers guy. Both Henry and Caldwell will see significant time though I should imagine. It's up to his nibs to grasp this opportunity this yr. It's about time his potential is reached.
Sea Ray
IMO criticizing Chris Henry for not running down intercepting DBs is akin to criticizing Deion Sanders for not being a run stuffer. If Chris Henry does nothing more than stretch the field and catch his share of TD passes then he is a very valuable player.

TJJackson
from: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/rapid-reports/team/CINWhen coach Marvin Lewis criticized WR Chris Henry for not playing a complete game, he, was referring to Henry's blocking. "We talk about blocking more than we talk about our routes," Henry said. "It's mandatory that you get your blocks in or you won't see the field."
