Clackwoods
OK, I have a really good friend who is a Bills fan and we have this constant back and forth of baggin on each others teams. He has an obvious argument on the Bengals, but I come back at him by saying at least we didn't choke four seasons in a row in the superbowl. And also, Bengals fans know usually by week 3 that we are going to suck, but the Bills are constantly fielding 8 and 8 teams and barely missing the playoffs. They are the NFL team with the longest current playoff drought and they gave their fans hope by starting 4 and 0 last year before falling on their faces. My question for you is the following:Would you rather have your team suck consistently for two decades or have your team constantly show promise only to let you down year after year? BengalszoneBilly
I totally pick making the playoffs rather than being perennial door mats. Who wouldn't?
Clackwoods
I totally pick making the playoffs rather than being perennial door mats. Who wouldn't?I would rather be a team that gets close and fails every year than a team that is just horrible, but losing 4 straight superbowls is a tough one to follow. I think you misread the survey though because it asks which is worse.

derekshank
I guess it depends on what you'd like to be doing on Sundays in January. Watching Carson Palmer go down and the team lose to the Steelers was by far the worst feeling I've had about a Bengals game in the last decade. That said... I would have rather been watching the Bengals that day than some other team. The choice is between the heartache of being 2nd best and the disinterest of being irrelevant. I'll choose heartache over disinterest every time.
Dimster28
neither fans have it worst, i think houston oilers fans got it worst because there is no such a oilers anymore, i cant watch nfl anymore if there is no bengals anymore.but if i have to pick from those 2, i would say i rather to have 4 sb loses than what bengals have becz it will mean i watch more bengals games by in play offs lol
Ickey44
Definitely the four SB losses. Just getting to the SB is an achievement in itself. This franchise has only done it twice. The Bills did it four years in a row. Sure they didn't win them, but there are some teams that have never even made it to the SB.
DC_Bengals_Fan
I think it's easier to take the losing, and you'd be happier overall, but any legit fan would rather at least see the Super Bowls. And hey, at least the last couple were over quickly.
gregstephens
Well, the Bills actually have the worst of both worlds. They lost four straight SBs, AND have been just a step above door-mat status for about, what, the past ten seasons or so?
gregstephens
Let's just say I'll be thrilled when the Bengals reach their fourth SB, because I AM going to the third one. I don't particularly feel a whole lot of sympathy for the Bills.
ArmyBengal
I would rather be the fan that has to consider if we are going to win the Super Bowl for 4 years in a row than to be the fan that doesn't have to consider their team a contender after week #4. Does the heartache of 4 straight losses hurt ?? Sure they do, but at least they were there and took the ride that far to enjoy.Maybe people forget how nice it is to watch your team win games in the playoffs, let alone make it to the Super Bowl... HoTbOy
Give me 4 straight losses in the SB, than not having a chance to win it at all...As they say you have to be in it to win it...So the Bengals are worse off to me...
