Kazkal
Well 4-6million will be rookie cap space, the money for injury's & Incentives and then really it doesn't hurt to keep some space open so that way they can resign people before next years FA.... TJJackson
is that a fully-hobsonized 15.5 million?
HoosierCat
The figures don't include the additional $900k in space the cap went up for every team yesterday, so the Bengals are (reportedly) actually at about $16.4 million under. The Bengals rookie pool this year is a bit over $6.6 million. So that leaves ~$10 million. Minus $2-3 million for an injury pad and the Bengals have something on the order of $7-8 million. Hobs keeps talking about some $3 million charge due to some incentive owed Keith Rivers. I have no idea if that's included in the original figure or not.Worst case, tho, Bengals have $4 million to play with.
georgeoberer
I think you have to look at it around 4 million. I think it's going to be hard to sign players to extensions going into an uncapped year. How much is it going to cost to sign R Hood? I think if they can get him at under two mil a year it's a good move. I'm fine with them having an extra 4 million to play with to try to extend deals during the season. That's probebly how much they would really have left after signing him anyway.
