Baraka
he never seemed the same after his unfortunate meeting with porter's posse. I say good bye levi, thanks for the service.
Esiason#7
Yeah, it was time to let him move on. It seems like he's hurt all the time, and even when he did play he didn't have that 2005 form.

volcom69
If he goes there it looks like just to be a back up, i like the move to get younger and healthier, i did like Levi when he was in his prime, but its time to move on. Good luck.
kingwilly
We could end up paying for this, the same way we will be paying for letting go Willie Anderson for years to come.It is hard to know if Jones just came back too soon from his injury and will return to his pro-bowl form, sometimes it takes a year or two to return from an leg injury.OR, was that injury the end of his career?I know one thing , it would have been nice to have him around for a back up or he could have been moved to G.I would sure as hell hate to have him go to the Steelers or some other team in the division if he can return to form. The important thing is that Mike Brown gets to pocket the money that he would have paid him.Mike could have used the money that he is saving by cutting him, to pick up a free agent or to keep T.J. but, aw shucks!, there is no free agents left to spend the money on .Mike will have to pocket the money. This has become an anual event. Why didnt Mike cut him before free-agency ? Because , he now has the excuse that there are no free-agents.If, he had cut him before free-agency fans would have been screaming that they had plenty of money (cap room) to sign T.J. or pick up (? fill in the Blank) player X in free agency.I think it is part SoP and part assessing Andre Smith's viability. derekshank
We stock up on Cowboys, Seattle stocks up on...Bengals?Well, the Bengals were a half of a game better than the Seahawks last year... so it is an improvement.
themaninblack
Can't say I'm surprised by this as he has just not been the same player the last couple of years. I think they are really confident in what they have and with pretty good reason. I wish him all the best as he was one of my favorite players for a time. icehole3
sounds like Mikey Boy knew what he was doing with Levi, word is the leg wound isnt healing properlyPer Rotoworld via Arizona Republic w/ Rotoworld comments:The player rep for free agent OT Levi Jones admitted Monday that his client may have to wait for the summer to sign with a team.Jones is recovering from extensive leg surgery and probably couldn't pass physicals. The Cardinals and Redskins have already denied any interest.
