rwalling
In case you think things are likely to get easier for the Bengals in future weeks, take a look at how their upcoming opponents defenses did in week 1.Rk Team 1 Baltimore Ravens 2 Philadelphia Eagles3 Tennessee Titans 4 Dallas Cowboys 5 New York Giants 6 Pittsburgh Steelers8 New York Jets 14 Houston Texans 16 Jacksonville Jaguars Gee ten more games against top 16 defenses (and the Jags are 16th best only because it's week 1). Our alleged Pro Bowlers on offensive (as compared to offensive former pro bowlers) better improve a ton on week 1 if a) TJ really expects that big contract of his and Chad wants to recognized as anything beyond a sideshow freak. ArmyBengal
Even with the Titans defense, I say "their best chance" of winning the game will be this upcoming week in their home opener. Motivated coming home, embarrassed to no end, and looking to prove they don't suck (as TJ put it)... That being said, I'm not saying they are "going to win", only that it may be their best chance for a while...WHODEY !!!

Good job, moron. The Titans allowed 33 yards on the ground to the Jags this past Sunday. How about something that surprises the opposition, Brat? You know something called strategy and ingenuity. Ickey44
Personally, I thought the Saints game was rock bottom. The whole offensive line was "insulted" (or whatever term they used, I can't remember) when their franchise QB got a broken nose. They vowed to do better. Well, looks like the same product on the field to me.
damiancasey
I'm pretty sick of trying to be optimistic and saying,"it's just the first game of the season and we actually didn't do bad on X, Y, and Z". This game is not the way a playoff team starts the season - ever. This is the way an also-ran starts the season. I'm not talking about the score either. They played like the were sloppy, dumb, and apathetic.I hate bashing coaches and owners but last Sunday showed me without question that Mike Brown is driving the train. I don't believe Mike Brown is an evil or malicious guy like some people on here. I think he is diluded - I think he truly believes he can construct a winning organization and he's "this close". The problem is that he's just not good at it...it's not his calling. We are going to be a bumbling .500 football team for good, gents. GregCook
Fortunate that the Bengals are playing the Titans just as Young is looking for a rubber room. Since Kerry Collins isn't a rookie QB, but a 14 year vet, the Bengals will probably sack him a few times, confuse him at the line, hurry him and hit him frequently.Lets face it, TJ doesn't want to be here. Nor Chad. Nor Stacy. How long before Carson wants out? How long before ML resigns? He's way to young to sink with this ship.
