cincyhokie
http://news.cincinnati.com/apps/pbcs.dll/s....cincinnati.comBengals defensive end Antwan Odom, the club's major offseason free agent haul, walked out of Paul Brown Stadium this afternoon without the protective boot on his left foot.Odom had sprained the foot July 28 during the Bengals' first training camp practice. Word is he is expected to return to practice next week and should be ready to play in the regular season opener Sept. 7 at Baltimore. He had eight sacks last season for the Titans and was signed to team with fellow end Robert Geathers to bolster what was the NFL's weakest pass rush in 2007. HoosierCat
Yes, good news. Anyone hear anything about Sims? I didn't see him on Curnutte's list of guys who didn't practice today but that might have been an oversight.

Cincinnati needs all the help we can get to pressure on opposing QBs.

I didn't see him on Curnutte's list of guys who didn't practice today but that might have been an oversight.I am looking for something on Sims prognosis as well but haven't been able to find anything as of yet. I heard on the post game show on 700 WLW that he had a "foot injury". Maybe no news is good news. I don't know. Hopefully it is not anything as serious as a break as that would keep him out probably from 6-8 weeks. Anytime someone gets carted off the field it isn't good. cincyhokie
Ok, I found this on Sims from the CincyJungle blog site:http://www.cincyjungle.com/2008/8/18/59622...jury-comes-withIt looks like he suffered a sprained foot and/or turf toe and left the stadium after the game on crutches. Not good. I would not expect to see him until the 4th game at the earliest, but I could be wrong.
HoosierCat
Per Hobs it's a turf toe:http://www.bengals.com/news/news.asp?story_id=6965Which sucks because it's one of those injuries you can't really do much about and takes forever to heal. I didn't think he was undersized either.
