HairOnFire
Being a Guitar Hero devotee, I can see it if abused. Not sure about knocking you out for two games, but ok. Again, he was already out of action due to one of his many other ailments so he wasn't going to play regardless. And no doubt this is why few people remember the mention or care if it's true. (It is.) After all, this is the year the guy finally breaks out, right? Because he's certainlly due, ehhhh? So I shouldn't spoil the party by reminding everyone about how fragile Cinderella's glass slipper might still be, right? After all..... Chris Perry = Bell Cow

I'm with you, even if he shaves a few pounds and blows the rust off his joints, I'll believe he can put in a full season when I see it. derekshank
Hey Hair... I thought I'd help you out a little bit with a related article.Wrist injury from video gameSee, It's not unheard of. So just because people don't remember a tiny note doesn't make it untrue. For my part... Given Perry's history, I'm inclined to believe he is able to hurt himself doing just about anything... like when he's out buying tampons. But it seems to me that Hair is the only who seems to remember reading this bit of information out of the many fans that frequent this sight. It just seems a bit odd considering how widespread the report supposedly was. Surely someone else would remember reading that considering the insanity of such an injury. I'm sure Tigers fans will be talking about Joel Zumaya and his Guitar Hero exploits for years.
GROIII
That never happened. You can say it over and over but you shouldn't just make things up like that. I hope Perry as a great season just as you should be hoping. He carryed the ball 25-35 times a game at Michigan so he has proved he can do it. This is his lasst chance so give the guy a chance and stop being so negitive. You must be real sucessful with that attitude. This is to being happy I don't have to hang out with you and all the negitive attitude you bring to the table.
derekshank
You guys are ridiculous. Because it was Hair who said it, you think it was made up? I know Hair isn't the most popular guy on this forum... but I've been here a while and I've never seen him just flat out make something up. Especially something that is difficult to believe. These are the kinds of things you can't make up.And as was mentioned earlier... it was not an injury that kept him off the field. It was one of his many other ailments... so the wrist thing was just a side note. Like when he was on the PUP last year. Technically it was his ankle that kept him off the field... but we all know he was also cramping and bloated.
derekshank
I don't have to hang out with you and all the negitive attitude you bring to the table. Then don't. It's a forum. People post their opinions. If you're going to take them personally, you have the right to not read them. What a country. As for Perry... I've seen the college video. In fact I've been watching it for 4 years, waiting to see that player show up even once in a Bengal uniform. In his one almost full season He was decent catching a pass out of the backfield - but I've never seen him impress me as an actual running back. So pardon me for not being as excited as the homers around here. I've drank the Chris Perry potential kool-aid one too many times. I'm starting to get sick from it.If Chris Perry eventually gets his career back on track and becomes a horse for the Bengals... great. I'll cheer. I've got nothing against Chris Perry personally. He's just never performed like a 1st round pick - and 4 years later I'm getting sick of reading articles about what he could bring to this team. On this topic I'm from Missouri. I don't know how you expect Perry to impress you as an actual running back when he's normally only in for third down, but his career YPA is 4.6. That's not impressive, but it's not bad either. TJJackson
Since we're talking stats, my favorite is from 20042 carries1 yardsweetFor any of you board newbs reading this, that's why he is sometimes referred to on this board as "Two Carry Perry"(Aside: It's kinda amazing that a Chrissy Perry thread has gone on this long and not a peep has been heard from Pushy)

Probably even more telling as to how the coaches feel about his use a RB. He has played in 22 games, and has amassed an amazing 337 yards rushing. Hardly anything to write home about... and that pretty much makes his yards per carry stat meaningless. Needless to say... I'm less than impressed by anything we've seen from Chris Perry. One trick pony RB's who are decent catching a pass out of the backfield can be had in the 4th round of every draft. And some of them even manage to stay healthy. Ickey44
Again, he is used mainly as a third down back when healthy. Nobody else has been getting carries behind Rudi either, except for last year. Nobody says you should be impressed with Perry, but I don't think you should discount him yet. As for him being injured, or rather, it taking him so long to get back after injury, why don't you start complaining about the Bengals medical staff (or lack thereof)? HairOnFire
Hey Hair... I thought I'd help you out a little bit with a related article. Thanks, I guess. But if you really want to help try explaining why I should care whenever anyone, let alone the likes of Ickey...starts screaming for attention. For my part... Given Perry's history, I'm inclined to believe he is able to hurt himself doing just about anything... like when he's out buying tampons. Chris Perry doesn't buy tampons. In fact, one of the reasons for his rookie holdout was due his demands the Bengals provide them free of charge whenever he needed them. Ahhhhh, the favored refuge of the Perry pimp. Start with an endless stream of empty excuses made for a player who has rarely been able to answer the bell...followed by unspecific charges against a Bengal medical staff that you're in absolutely no position to judge. Finally, wrap it all up in the vague trappings of a teenage fan crush. (((shrug))) DPM = Ickey44
