BengalszoneBilly Posted May 31, 2008 Report Posted May 31, 2008 The NFL seems to be picking up steam across the pond! Tickets for London game selling quicklyLONDON (AP)—Five months before the Saints and Chargers kick off at Wembley Stadium, tickets already are going fast. The first 40,000 tickets made available for the NFL’s second overseas regular-season game were sold in 90 minutes Thursday. The game will be Oct. 26, a Saints home game.Because of the demand, the NFL released an additional 5,000 to go on sale immediately.“We are delighted to report the overwhelming interest in this year’s game,” Alistair Kirkwood, managing director of NFL UK, said. “This proves that our event is one of the most eagerly awaited on the British sports calendar.”The NFL will play at least one game in the United Kingdom for each of the next three seasons. UK Bengal Posted June 29, 2008 Report Posted June 29, 2008 I went to the giants and phins game and got tickets for this one too !!! Quote
The UnderDawg Posted July 1, 2008 Report Posted July 1, 2008 I heard that the tickets sold today were gone in 30 minutes. However this still does not convince me that we should be moving some of our games over there. They can have our preseason, no one likes that s**t anyway, but the NFL is OURS I would raise hell if they took a Cleveland home game, hell even an away game because of the time change and the adjustments for the weeks around that game would mess things up.If they tried to play regular season Soccer games between two of their teams, there would be riots. jonf45uk Posted July 9, 2008 Report Posted July 9, 2008 ...at least if it was a cleveland game there'd be no trouble getting tickets Quote
