Hey guys, just telling you all that I just recieved my licence, today!

Wow. I remember when I first got mine back in '74. The biggest difference from then to now was gas cost 39 cents a gallon when I got mine. Boy...times have sure changed.

I got my license back in 2000, and you had to get an 80 on the test to pass and I got an 81. I totaled a car a month later. I went through a pine tree and then the chief of police's picket fence.

Over achiever. :P

That's a bit of bad karma there.

Both hands on the wheel at all times young man. And another thing, no text messaging at all, is that clear. And only talk on your cell phone if it is an emergency, got it.

Seriously, congratulations.

BTW, where do you go to HS at? I've got in-laws in Charleston.

Congrats CBF. Just remember this...there will be NO car in your life as special as your first.

Mine was a 1963 six volt electrical system VW Beetle. 63_vw.jpg

I LOVED that car. When I joined the Marines, I lent it to my brother. He didn't seem to find checking the oil or even changing it important, and within two years blew the engine.

I've never forgiven him for that to this day!

I'm sorry man but giving a rear-wheel drive Mustang to a teenager, especially one who just got his license, is crazy. Please kid, be carefull, don't speed excessively, only in moderation. That car is not a toy, even if it's only a V6, its still fast. And dangerous.

1981 Chevy Cavalier. First year model. Replaced two carburators in four years. But it served it's purpose for nearly 10 years.

Always fancied a Mach5 though.
