HoosierCat
Not bad...I think Geathers gets slotted in behind Clemons as his eventual replacement, tho. If Powelll makes the cut he'll be Smith's No. 2.Ross is a tossup. If he goes Miller may be behind Webster at MLB.I think Ratliff pushes James, not O'Neal, at least initially. He'll see lots of nickle time.I'm not convinced Porter will make the final roster.Williams v. Herring? Yeah, I could see Williams winning that battle. Not sure Manuel makes the cut either. I think K2 gets that slot.
Northwest Bengal
I agree with all of your starters. I, too, think Williams steps up and beats Herring for the FS spot. I see Miller backing up Hardy on the Strong side, Johnson behind Simmons at WLB, with Ross maybe backing Webster. I think James and O'Neal lock down the corners, with Ratliff becoming one of the best Nickles in the game. Geathers backs up Clemons (and puts some pressure on him), Askew backs Gardner (and grooms for the spot). I see Powell moving to the Right side to back up Smith, with Patterson the odd man out. It wouldn't surprise me to see Brooks push Roberts for some backup playing time, also.
turningpoint
IMO kim herring is the opening day starter, but doesn't mean he'll be starting after the 6th game.
jditty47
i dont see ross being around after june 1st. I see miller moving to weak side and abdullah to middle and johnson to strong side backups.
Bengal Warrior
Chamberlin will backup the MLB slot before Abdullah (quick but too undersized for MLB, IMHO). Agree that Ross is a likely cut; too much cap space for what he brings to the D
cincykent
The defense will be better but they are still a few players and few years from being a playoff caliber defense. If they make the playoffs it will be because the strenth of the offense. But as history shows, defense wins championships. I don't see that happening for 2 or 3 years.
