Brad Biggs, of the Chicago Sun-Times, reports the Chicago Bears have re-signed free-agent LB Lance Briggs (Bears) to a six-year contract worth $36 million.

They would have been crazier than their resigning of Grossman if the let Lance get away.

Just $12 million guaranteed, too. A very reasonable deal, relatively speaking.

For anyone hoping for a Landon return, this is good news. Outside of Calvin Pace there doesn't seem to be a big market for LBs.

I'm glad they re-signed Briggs because if they didn't someone like the Patriots would of signed him. Ain't like we would of signed him anyways..... <_<

Jeebus. That contract is totally reasonable. More than reasonable in fact. Sanity prevails for once.

Yeah. And another cheap deal went down last night...

CHIEFS HAUL IN WILLIAMS

The free-agency frenzy continues, even late into a Saturday night.

According to Adam Schefter of NFL Network, the Chiefs have agreed to terms with former Falcons linebacker Demorrio Williams on a five-year, $16 million contract.

The deal includes $5.5 million in guaranteed money.

Williams is probably better than Landon and he barely got $3 million a year.
