ShulaSteakhouse Posted January 19, 2008 Report Posted January 19, 2008 I like the story about her sending all the players Care Bears Quote
HairOnFire Posted January 20, 2008 Report Posted January 20, 2008 Hardly suprising she'd get a nice obituary from a St.Louis newspaper. You should read the ones printed in the Los Angeles papers. Blistering. Here are my two favorite Georgia stories, both confirmed by her. First, she gave her personal astrologer final say in regards to accepting or turning down trade offers. And most famously, while still in Los Angeles she instructed her GM, John Shaw, to slash the team payroll for four straight seasons, and then used the drop in attendence that he he warned her would result as justification for moving to St.Louis. Later, she blamed the fans for falling attendence, saying...."The fans quit on us. I hate them for doing that." All things considered I'd say she was a viper, and proof of how bad team ownership could really be. Quote
