Scottishbengal
Well now that the dust has settled from the free agency/draft period, what record do you think the Bengals will finish with next season. As ever the eternal optimist that I am, I was originally hoping for a 12-4 season, but with so many new faces in key positions I think I will reconsider at a more conservative 9-7 record, with the possibilty of going 10-6 if we pick up a surprise or two off of waivers. What does everyone else think ?? The Brew Man
Im gonna say 8-8 again, that schedule looks tough still. But that may be good enough for a wild card spot......
skyline
8-8 or 9-7depends on how well palmer takes his inevitable first year struggles.
Black'n'Orange
I'll say 9-7 even with the tough schedule. This team has a new heart and a hunger to win :player:
BengalDave73
I think 10 -6.With the addition of free agents and i do think that Chris Perry will make as huge impact i see a 10 win season.
schweinhart
10-6 with wild card berth.Everything comes together with 6-1 finish.

CJBestInAFC
I like 9-7. I think this is still the building stages and will take time for the rookies to develop. Now that we have Stacy Andrews how much longer do you think Willie Anderson will play for the Bengals? I do think with time and good coaching, Andrews will be a great tackle for this team. Jungle_Fever
Our team is better than they were last year. I havnt compared schedules but we should win our division and I think 9 wins will accomplish that.

BENGALTHEM
REGULAR SEASON@ JETS=W BENGALS HAVE A BETTER TEAMvs. MIAMI=W ITS A PRIME TIME GAME AT HOME; BENGALS WANNA START OUT STRONG; CHAD JOHNSON IS GONNA SHOW OFF; DOLPHINS DEFENSE NOT AS DOMINANT; BENGALS WANNA PROVE THEY CAN STOP THE RUN; A.J. FEELEY STILL NOT COMFORTABLE WITH HIS NEW OFFENSE IN ONLY HIS SECOND GAME STARTING FOR THE FINS.vs. BALT=W ITS PAY BACK TIME; THE BENGAL FAITHFUL WILL BE ROWDY; JAMAL LEWIS HAS A GOOD GAME BUT IT'S NOT ENOUGH AS KYLE BOLLER STRUGGLES; CHAD JOHNSON PROVES THAT NO ONE CAN COVER HIM, EVEN IF CHRIS MCALLISTER GETS HELP.@PITT=W THIS IS A COACHES GAME. MARVIN LEWIS WILL HAVE THE TROOPS WELL PREPARED IN ALL THE TRICKS AND TOM FOOLERY BILL COWARD TRIES TO PULL. NO MORE FAKE FG, PUNTS; THE REVERSE TO RANDEL EL IS SHUT DOWN. THE SCORE LOOKS CLOSE BUT BENGALS DOMINANT THIS GAME IN ALL STATISTICS.@CLEVE=W CLEVELAND SUCS; WINSLOW SO FAR HAS PROVED TO BE A DISTRACTION INSTEAD OF HELP; GARCIA HAS THE FEELING OF DEJAVU DEALING WITH WINSLOW. LEE SUGGS MAKES US LOOK SILLY, BUT RUDI MAKED THEM LOOK RETARDED.vs. DEN=W IT'S PRIME TIME! PAY BACK TIME! AT HOME! CHAD WANTS TO PROVE TO THE WORLD HE IS THE BEST WR IN THE GAME. O'NEAL HAS SOMETHING TO PROVE AS WELL, AND SO DOES GARDNER. BENGALS ABSOLUTELY DOMINANT THIS GAME. MIKE SHANAHAN'S JOB IS NOW ON THE LINE.@TENN=L BENGALS ARE 6-0! BUT AFTER COMING OFF THE MONDAY NIGHTER, BENGALS ARE TIRED, MEDIA COVERAGE ON THE BENGALS IS GETTING OUT OF HAND; ESPN IS ON ON THE NUTTS. EVEN THOUGH THE TITANS ARE NOT AS GOOD AS LAST YEAR, THE CRAFTY VETS ON THIS TEAM MANAGE TO SQUEEK OUT A CLOSE ONE. THORNTON IS IS PISSED!vs. DALL=W A CLOSE ONE. DALLAS D IS TOUGH BUT THEY CANNOT ACCOUNT FOR CHRIS PERRY'S VERSATILITY OUT OF THE BACK FIELD. BENGALS D IS ENOUGH TO HANDLE COWBOYS ANEMIC OFFENSE.vs. WASH=L MARVIN LEWIS SUFFERS A LET DOWN AS HE COACHES FOR THE FIRST TIME AGAINST HIS OLD TEAM. AS CLINTON SOFTENS UP THE D, BRUNELL THROWS A COUPLE OF BOMBS TO COLES; SPECIAL TEAMS SUFFERS A LET DOWN AS WELL; TOO MUCH FOR BENGALS TO OVERCOME.vs. PITT= L BENGALS LOOSE A CLOSE ONE; FOR SOME REASON BENGALS CAN'T SWEEP THOSE BASTARDS. THE BENGAL FAITHFUL ARE STARTING TO GET WORRIED, AS THE BENGALS HAVE LOST 3 OUT OF THEIR LAST 4, AFTER STARTING 6-0. THE REMAINING SCHEDULE AHEAD LOOKS TOUGH.vs. CLEVE=W ITS OFFICIAL! BENGALS SWEEP THE BROWNIES AS MARVIN LEWIS GIVES A AWE INSPIRING GUT CHECK SPEECH. CARSON PALMER IS COMING INTO HIS OWN AS HE HAS A BREAK OUT GAME AND LIGHTS THE CLOWNS 2NDRY UP.@ BALT=L ANTHONY WRIGHT OR MAYBE KERRY COLLINS MANAGE THE GAME, AS THE RAVENS PLAY RAVENS FOOTBALL. RUN THE BALL, NO T.O., GOOD DEFENSE.@ PATS=L DILLION GOES OFF, AS HE HAS SOMETHING TO PROVE. BENGALS LOOSE ANOTHER CLOSE ONE.vs. BILLS=W PAY BACK IS A MUTHA. BENGALS PUT A WHOOPING ON BILLS. RUDI JOHNSON GOES FOR 150 YARDS; DREW BLESDOE IS DONE.vs. GIANTS=W MEDIA HYPES GAMES AS CARSON VS. ELI. BUT CARSON HAS THE BETTER TEAM. BENGALS WIN EASY.vs. PHILLY=L PHILLY NEEDS THIS GAME MORE THAN THE BENGALS BECAUSE BENGALS ALREADY CLINCHED A PLAYOFF SPOT. BACKUPS SHOW WHAT THERE MADE OF.FINAL RECORD= 10-
cincykent
Bengalthem, you seem to have 10 home games and 6 road games for the Bengals. I think they go 9-7. I see them starting 5-1, or 4-2.
Northwest Bengal
11 and 5. Honestly, they didn't need much. A little stronger defense and a little more powerful downfield passing threat, plus another year of Marvin with the players he wants should do the trick. EdwardG
I see 6-10. We are breaking in a brand new quarterback and a largely new defense. If Carson struggles, Kitna will take a few games to hit his rhythm.
ntpou
9-7 with a playoff birth. Possibility of 10 &
jditty47
i want to say 10-6 but my gut is telling me with all the change 8-8 or 7-9.
denverbengal
I'm going with 9-7. After starting the season 0-2, CP gets his game on against the ravens at home and the Bengals go on to win the division. The ravens will also go 9-7, but the tie-breaker will go to the Bengals for better divisional record after the ravens split their series with the squealers. The Bengals will sweep the squealers for the first time in years, and split with the ravens.

bengalsfansince68
I see 6-10. We are breaking in a brand new quarterback and a largely new defense. If Carson struggles, Kitna will take a few games to hit his rhythm. I can't understand why so many people assume that Carson will fail. He has been preparing for this his entire life. He will have had a full training camp, a full season, an offseason and another full traing camp. If he is not ready to play football, we may have made a big mistake. I do not believe that to be the case.
jrandom42
My question is this: Why not make the playoffs? Wasn't it 3 years ago, the Carolina Panthers were 1-15? They went 7-9 the next year and went 11-5 this past season, coming oh so close to winning the Super Bowl.I do like Marvin's response when asked about Carolina's success: "Why not us?"I say 10-6 and a first round victory. Well, simply because breaking in a QB that hasn't taken an NFL snap hasn't ever boded very well for anybody. It's going to take some time if he doesn't turn out to be David Klingler or Akillme Smith. That's why. It worked out for the most recent Super Bowl participants. How many snaps did Brady have prior to replacing Bledsoe? How many did Delhomme have before last year?
