JoePong
The 3-4 idea is stupid. And so is moving Geathers to LB, and having Briggs play ILB. Having Brooks play nside ina 3-4 would diminish his effectiveness quite a bit.Next.

Having Brooks play nside ina 3-4 would diminish his effectiveness quite a bit.Next.Geathers isn't big enough to play DE. You should have noticed that this year. He's fast but can be pancaked. Truth is that he may not be good enough to be a LB either. He's just an intangible in the quagmire of a team that the Bengals and Marvin have been selling for the last 5 years.Duh! Next. Spor_tees
I'd take Suggs and Vilma...one thing I KNOW is the Bengals won't get Suggs and Briggs. Shoot what would be ideal is Vilma and Haynesworth and draft DE, either Chris Long or Gholston. Now that would be some improvements on defense, and a little more realistic except Haynesworth is going to get franchised
Stripes
Now way this develops. Suggs and Briggs is too much to expect for ANY team.
GregCook
Even at the #9 slot its very hard to predict who's available to form a draft at this point. Here is what we fans don't know:1. Will Stacy be re-signed?2. Will the Bengals play 3-4 or 4-3? 3. Will Landon and Dhani re-sign?4. Will Chad or Henry explode in ways Marvin didn't mean when he talked of blowing things up?5. DC and LB coaches aren't known.6. Who is available in FA and who gets signed to the Bengals?7. Is TJ inked to an extension?8. Who declares for the draft as Juniors?9. Who stands out in the Senior Bowl?10. Who stands out in the BCS Championship?good luck figuring out the draft at #9 not knowing the answers! kingwilly
Now way this develops. Suggs and Briggs is too much to expect for ANY team.agree. in fact, I am not sure the Bengals will even pursue a suggs or briggs. if they engage with them, it would be because their agents need leverage with a serious team. as in, getting played.let's get a new DC and then see who he has ties to before we get all giddy over who we "wish" we could get.
