It's derby day here in the bluegrass and I'm looking over the racing form for today's big race. The race looks to be as wide open as ever, does anyone have a favorite?

I'm laying my money on the sure bet that I'll enjoy a few too many mint juleps. B) As for the race....who knows? An exacta or trifecta should pay very well today. :)

Well mat, I guess there's not too many horse racing fans here. I myself enjoy going to the races for the atmosphere, but I don't study it close enough to consider my self anything more than a guesser. Kinda like the NFL draft. We all turned out just to be guessing!

thanks for saving me the embarrassment of having no replies to a post Billy

You saved me from having to point out the lack of horse racing interest in the forum. If everyone won $100 yesterday like me then maybe they'd be bigger fans. :P

If you say mint juleps stink then you've never had one properly made. :o

Maybe Joisey'll get jacked up for the Preakness.

Smarty jones might win the triple crown!!!!!!!:wacko: :player: :D:)

Man, (horse) racing is so boring (ZZZzzzzzzz) that you've got to put a bet on to make it interesting.

You never see a poor bookie though, do you ?

It's too bad I haven't checked the site in a couple weeks. Otherwise you would have know that last week I was at a Derby party, here in San Antonio. There are a few of us Kentuckians down here amazingly enough. I thought it was pretty cool that the horse with the best name (Smarty Jones) out of the bunch won the thing. I'll be cheering him on in the Preakness.
