schnarfer
The obvious lack of production to me comes down to one key player, Ahmad. Since we lost him we have not been the same. Our other LBS r obviously being missed but he was a rock in the middle. Getting hom completely healthy is key if we are going to make a run against a favorable remaining schedule. this season is far from over but health of Ahmad and the rest of our LBS is absolutely key
cincyhokie
This team HAS to get healthy. The next 2 games are MUST wins. We beat the Chiefs and Jets and we're 3-3 playing the Steelers. If this team gets some momentum they can be VERY good.2 keys in my opinion:Get guys healthyLeadership and lose the selfishnessDo that and this team will win 10 games easy. Can they do it?We'll see. skyline
They certainly COULD do it. Actually getting it done, though, is another matter.I'll take a wait and see attitude.Regardless of what you think, though, this bye week is needed, and it's needed bad. Whur CHad At? JoePong
We absolutely have to get healthy and stay healthy for this team to develop any consistancy and perform at a high level. They are capable. But the offense, not the defense, has been the problem with this team.
Kazkal
Jj can learn how to tackle, as can MadeiuWell He led the team in tackles so he's doing a better job tackling then the rest of our defense,Not defending him just pointing he had most tackles on our team
HairOnFire
But the offense, not the defense, has been the problem with this team. The performance of the offense on 3rd down is remarkably bad, and that's been true dating back to most of last season. In fact, I'm not sure if they completed a single opportunity tonight. Receiver were open that game, McNair was just overthrowing them so don't fool yourself with that Ahmad Brooks crap. The Bengals defense is not getting better anytime soon until we bring people in here that can get some type of pass rush the Quarterbacks are just too comfortable in the pocket and the running backs are slashing them. Justin Smith is garbage straight up, he has not even been close to sacking the quarterback this year.
DC_Bengals_Fan
I've defended him in the past but Madieu is now just baaaaaad.
ShulaSteakhouse
This offense is bare bones and the o-line are a bunch of back-ups and cast-offs since Levi, Willie and Guy-chick can never stay healthy. If I'm Carson I go straight to Mike Brown's office and tell him to get me some real help or trade me. Bengals1
I've said for years that the Bengals suffer from a lack of talent compared to most other teams in the NFL.I'm not letting the coaches off the hook completely, I won't shed a tear if we let Bres go after this dissapointing season. But we have to start drafting better and even if it's just for a season or two, SoP needs to open his checkbook and get some quality free-agents in here to plug the talent gap until our draft picks come around. Assuming we draft anybody capable of "coming around' that is.
HairOnFire
I've defended him in the past but Madieu is now just baaaaaad. Madieu's missed tackle would get my vote for being the back breaker. And I guess that's true in more ways than one, as it loudly answered any remaining questions I had about whether the Bengals should consider trying to keep Williams from reaching free agency. Go. bengalboomer7
Everyone sit back and just think of all the first day picks we're missingPollackThurmanHenryPerryIronsand on and on.It's sssooooooo hard to overcome all the injuries we've had. kingwilly
I hear what everyone is saying about injuries but how the F long have we known that Pollack was done? a long freaking time. How long have we known that Odell was in no shape to play football this year? a long time. Now, the team needed to move on and get players that would help them overcome this issue. Did they try? I guess. They drafted Brooks, brought in Hartwell but he was not good enough, moved Henderson out to LB but he got hurt, let Simmons walk (not crying about this), brought in Marshall, brought in Dhani, now brought in Mays...For some reason, the crack medical staff at PBS just cannot keep these guys on the field. When does Arrington get out of the hospital? I believe Lawerence "The Fudge Packer" Maroney left him stankin on the 10 yard line on a similar play in last years game, he has bad luck vs. NE rb's. But I will say he has heart, he came back & continued to stick his head in there. Poor guy, did you see his lip, sweet baby jesus, Sammie Morris should be arrested for assualt and battery.
