Stripes
This is really a question of "Would you prefer three interceptions and a fumble or two of each?"Either way, Bengals win going away.
HoosierCat
This is really a question of "Would you prefer three interceptions and a fumble or two of each?"Either way, Bengals win going away.We ought to, but this is a classic trap game. Bengals are coming off an emotional win and a short week, and have not one but two tough games looming in Seattle and NE. The Browns are up against the wall in only their second game and desperate to get back on track. And both road games and division games are rarely easy in the NFL.Still, it's hard to see the Browns winning. But especially with the Bengals' offense still trying to get the engine cranked for the season and STs prone to flubs, I could see them hanging around. agreen_112
LMAO at the guy who said you can't judge what a guy did in college and that it doesn't translate to the NFL. Yeah, you may be right in certain situations, you can be a great QB in college (Troy Smith) but not in the NFL, but I don't think an average QB in college (Brady Quinn) will be great in the NFL. Honestly, I really hope Cremmel puts the rook in there this Sunday. I want to see his little crybaby ass get destroyed by our new and improved defense. What a great boost that would be for our team going to Seattle.

What a great boost that would be for our team going to Seattle.Just to play devil's advocate here, that statement isn't entirely true. Tom Brady was Drew Henson's back up in college and now Henson is hanging out with Akili Smith discussing real estate ventures while Brady is knocking up Hollywood stars and winning SuperBowls in his spare time.I don't think we can really judge Brady fairly based on what we've seen, I wouldn't be surprised if he played in this weeks game, probably sometime into the 3rd quarter. Regardless I don't think the Browns will win a division game this year, their defense looked bad and the offense looked worse. Frye was their best option at qb to win this year and they just traded the guy away , good move Savage . I mean they were playing what is argueablely the most complex and best defense in the NFL, you have to give Frye more than 1.5 quarters of football to prove himself, imo at least. But I guess that's why their the Stains.
Bobcat Bengal
If I were Crennel, I'd resist the temptation to start Quinn. Now is not the time to hit the panic button, especially after one game. I know the temptation is strong, but he's not ready. You gotta remember, Palmer didn't even sniff the field his first year. I'm not saying you'll have to wait that long, because Kitna got uncorked after that bye week that year, and never looked back. He doesn't need to be thrown in there. Give the boy a chance to develop, and don't pull a Tim Couch/Akili Smith/Klinger move. Had he actually been in camp instead of holding out, I'd say let him start after the bye week.....but oh well. Do the right thing, Cleveland. I'm actually kinda rooting for you guys if anything, so we can have an overall stronger division, and a great Ohio rivalry in the future. ArmyBengal
Laugh at anyone who says they know how ANY rookie QB may or may not develop at the next level before they have had a chance to throw their first NFL pass. Quinn may be the next coming of Montana or he may be the next coming of Leaf. Are the odds better in one way or another ?? Maybe, but there is no way to make that determination at this point in time. Even IF he were to get the start and get the loss, you still can't say he will be a sh*tty NFL QB based on that one game. Couple that with the fact he's a QB for the Browns !!!WHODEY !!! If I were Romeo I would stick with Anderson at least through the next 4 games: us, Oakland, Baltimore and NE. Probably Miami too, their D still has some zip. But after the bye at St. Louis? Yeah, I could see that.

HairOnFire
Isn't their O-Line supposed to be one of their strengths now? I doubt it. ORT Kevin Schaffer sucks more than a porn star. Plus, the left flank is protected by a rookie OLT, Joe Thomas, and a OLG, Eric Steinbucks, who haven't worked together very much. In fact, by my count the Steelers bagged at least two sacks last week due to miscomunication between those two.
kenyon1977
LOL they should start Quinn and ruin his career like they did Couch's. He even admitted to using HGH and he still sucked playing in Cleveland, LMAO
HoosierCat
Per the PD Anderson will start.http://blog.cleveland.com/sports/2007/09/r...d_browns_h.htmlI would bet your life that Quinn will come in off the bench at some point during the game if the Clowns get down more than a TD.You may be right:http://blog.cleveland.com/sports/2007/09/c...ennel_says.htmlIMHO, Romeo makes Dave Shula look competent.
