agreen_112
Have any of you ever ran into one of those guys that bugs the hell out of you, trying to get you to join them in making a ton of money working from home? I've probably ran into those guys a couple of times and I always tell them that I'm not interested but they always seem so persistant and try to pursuade you into making cash... Well I ran into an old friend and he happens to be one of these guys now who make a "ton" of side money doing things on the internet and want to train me. I told him I'm not really interested, but like always he was persistant as hell, so I gave him my number to shut him the hell up. That was probably a big mistake.Anyways my question is: What are these guys all about? What do they do and does anyone know if they really make the kind of money they say they do? I'm just interested in what the heck it's all about for some reason. He said his company is kinda like Amazon and that there is about 14 different ways to make money. He said "If you want to make $300, I can show you how to make $300. If you want to make an extra $1000, I can show you how to make a $1000." Honestly. this is when the BS meter went off in my mind... On the other hand though, this is an old friend of mine, so I'm kinda wondering what it's all about.
HoosierCat
I've looked into some of these "make tons o' money" online work-at-home business, and they usually turn out to be some sort of multi-level marketing gig.Multi-level marketing businesses function by recruiting salespeople (also called Distributors, Independent Business Owners, IBOs, Franchise Owners, Sales Consultants, Beauty Consultants, Consultants, etc.) to sell a product and offer additional sales commissions based on the sales of people recruited into their downline, an organization of people that includes direct recruits, recruits' recruits, etc. This arrangement is similar to franchise arrangements where royalties are paid from the sales of individual franchise operations to the franchisor as well as to an area or region manager, but in some MLM programs, there can be seven or more levels of people receiving royalties from one person's sales. He did mention to me that I would get paid to train someone and that I would keep getting residual payments as long as the trainee produces... What a crock of s**t, I can't wait for this son bitch to call me now! Thanks for the link.
Riagogogoindanati
Sounds like a pyramid to me. Was his first question, "Do you like to buy things online?" It is a load of crap because you are buying THEIR products, not national brands like on Amazon. I can't remember the name of the company, but my ex bf's cousin was into it and we went to a metting with about a few hundred people at Sycamore HS about 5-6 years ago......I'm not very business minded even though my field is research, it's not that kind of research. The data is proven......that type of thing just has too many variables. And to be honest, I just don't know enough people I would even want to sit down with to talk about that type of venture with. I say......change your phone number. LOL!!!!
