Went to Training Camp today

Let me just say I am so glad that I did. I have been in Cincinnati/Loveland for about 3 months now and just got a job offer back in California so Im headed there tomorrow. Today was the only day I could go to the Bengals Training Camp down in Georgetown, so I went by myself. Got there about about 12:20PM and i was about the 12th car there. Ended up being only about 1000 people there due to the thunderstorm chance - started pouring right at 5:20 and they shut down the autographs and made everyone leave. I got in there fast, got the front row right by the gate, right on the defensive side of the field. When they did 7 on 7 and 11 on 11 though it was down on my end, AWESOME. Chad made some nice catches and had fun with it. Antonio Chatman pulled up limping and went into the locker room early during the 7 on 7's...looked like a quad or a hamstring pull. Kendrick Allen is a BEAST. that guy is so huge its not even funny. Best part was after the practice. I got a GRIP of autographs. I had them all sign my white Deltha O'neal Jersey. Chad ran off right after practice saying he had to go to the bathroom and never signed any autographs for anyone TJ didnt sign any either really...rudi signed a few. On my white O'neal jersey i got Deltha's autograph! Dexter Jacksons! Keiwan Ratliff, and about 10 other players...guessing about 8 rookies some that wont make the team but whatever.

was a blast, definately glad i atleast got to go to that while i was out here.

Anyone who loves the Bengals enough to frequent this board really should go and experience training camp at least once.

I've only been once, and for one day - for the Orange and Black game where Kieft blew out his knee - other than that, a great experience.

I just missed out on Justin Smith (he walked up to me and then did not sign as he only signed for kids), Ahmad Brooks, and I was next in line for Kenny Irons when the rains came and security closed the signings.

If I had been dishonest and mean I could have gotten a free helmet. While Jeanty was signing autographs

he asked me to hold his helmet and gloves while he was signing.

ill have to get them developed and then scan them in....my digital stopped working last week so i was stuck with disposables

wow you got a few good autographs that i wish i woulda got in TJ, ML, and Peko. i also was trying to get irons when the they broke it up for thunder!!!! i musta been right next to u lol.

It was a fleeting thought, but the realism of either getting the beaten to death or spending

a few days in the klink won out. Besides I am too big of a fan to steal from my favorite team.

Plus in my current shap, my 40 time is now recorded with a sun dial.

Did they have items to sign there or did you take your own stuff?

I took my own football and sharpie, but the team does provide sharpies for te team as well. The players will sign just about anything you bring (footballs, notebooks, jersies, hats, helmets, etc.). The only annoying thing is when adults start standing up in front of you, with more than an hour left in practice, and start blocking your view.

Can't wait for this weekend. I'm taking my fiance and 1 year old daughter... I've already taught 'Livi, my daughter, how to celebrate a TOUCHDOWN. Hopefully Chad will be nice enough to sign "Livi's" #85 Jersey, lol.
