I wouldn't call the relief pitching "great" by any means, but don't you think 13 and 1/2 games is a tall order?

No, I don't want the Reds to bring in emergency players with any thought of making a run this season. It's over, and it has been over for months. I want them to focus on the long term.

I disagree, It aint over til its over. We can still make a nice run or at least finish the season strong. If we're not right back in the hunt by the end of August, then it's over, until then, they can completely turn this around like the cubby's have done.

They're not in last place! They're not in last place!

Skyline is right! Pittsburgh and Houston are trailing the Reds! Who'd a thunk it!?! (Okay...it's just a game, but still... )

And then lose 3 straight to the Marlins. Since going 10-4 under Pete Mackanin, 1-4 since. In order for the Reds to even finish above .500 they have to have a .750 winning percentage and that just went into the crapper. The season is done unless there is a sudden collapse of the Brewers and Cubs and that does not look like its going to happen. The farthest back a playoff team has even been was 11 games back. The Reds are 13.5 games, so the odds are stacked against them.

Well, we just took 3 out of 4 games from the #1 team in our Div. August will hopefully be very interesting. It's how you finish the season. That's what counts the most in MLB.

Actually Mr. Green it's how you play overall IMHO. That being said, the Reds are playing fairly well now since the managerial change.
