estang74
I live in Nevada and I was wondering if any of you guys could give me updates on how Jeff Rowe is doing in training camp etc... He is a good pickup for you guys, tough, plays hurt, has a good arm and is a good guy. I know alot of bengal fans don't like the pick but you will be surprised. You guys can PM me updates or just comment on this thread. I would really appreciate it since I have no idea where to go to find this info. Thanks in advance. Thanks in advance.I imagine most of us hope we never have to find out how good he is. Other than pre-season games and blow-outs, he won't get playing time for reasons other than Carson Palmer injuries. As far as training camp goes... Palmer is getting the vast majority of the snaps. I'm not sure how much there is, or will be to hear about him. He'll get plenty of playing time when pre-season rolls around though, so you might have to be patient until then. I got the nfl network so I plan on watching the bengal preseason games but any training camp info would be cool.

Thanks in advance.I don't want to disappoint you, but I don't think he's going to win the starting job. Fortunately (for him), we don't have much of a backup anyway. So while a rookie will probably start the year as #3, I wouldn't be shocked if he worked his way into the #2 slot at some point this year. Assuming he looks good in camp, picks up the offense, etc.

I was excited he got drafted by the bengals because I knew you guys were thin at QB so I knew he would have a chance to be the number 2 and to learn from a very good QB. I'm just hoping in a couple of years he will be a starter somewhere in the NFL.
membengal
He's in a good spot, estang. Zampese is a rock solid qb coach, the receiving corp is top notch, and he will learn a ton quickly practicing and watching behind Palmer. I think he has a good shot to have a nice NFL career, with his first three or four years apprenticing in Cincy. Then, perhaps, he can get the Matt Schaub treatment, where he becomes desireable despite not having ever really played an extended time as a starter.I liked the pick, and look forward to seeing him in camp.
