xjjeep90
This is going to be the death of the Reds all season. I have counted at least 5 games where they have had the lead late (8th inning) and lost.
GapControl
anyone who tries to figure out why the reds lose is a fool. the reds lose because MLB is designed for them to lose. and you fools are just sitting around waiting for the reds to pull off a MIRACLE. you can`t win when you can`t afford the starting, relieving, and otherwise pitchers... or when you can`t afford the starting, hitting, and defensive playing fielders.... wake up people. the reds sign broke down pitchers, rehabbed fielders, and aging vets well past their prime. it is sorry. and there is nothing the reds can do except go with the flow. and the flow is losing. unless you are boston, st. louis, cali, or new york. Stripes
There are low-budget teams that have consistent success. The Reds finished two games under .500 last season. They have it tougher than most teams with the low payroll, but by no means is success beyond their reach.

Gonzales, Lopez, Encarnacion, Freel, Phillips, Hamilton... Yah sure Brokedown pitchers, Arroyo and Harangatang!!! Your such a dodo! The Reds are right there this year, they've been in a hitting slump and just came off one of the longest road trips any ML team will face this year... Get a clue dude! bengal4life
Bullpen's ERA is like 10.93, which is rediculous. It probably went up due to Coffey's homerun last night. By the end of the season I can see our bullpen's ERA around 20 something. It looks like Narron didn't look to deeply into our relieving situation this past off season. They aren't doing very well either.

Teams have proven it, and the Brewers have for the first month and a half this year as well.

Teams have proven it, and the Brewers have for the first month and a half this year as well. How many times have the Yankees won the World Series in the past 5 years. Boston won 1. The reason St.Louis beats the Reds all the time is because they have better players. We get Griffey, they trade for Edmonds. We drafted Dunn, they drafted Pujols. They go get a Cy Young (Mulder)winning left handed pitcher. Reds give $30 million to (Milton)a left hander that gave up more Home Runs than any other pitcher in the Majors. We fire Managers that go to other teams and win World Series (McKeon- Florida). What has killed me in this series is bringing in a left handed pitcher to make Bergman hit right handed and he didn't see a strike. We give Milwaukee the confidence to be a good team. They sucked until we lost that series because we can not get Billy Hall out. He is only 5'6" but he looked like King Kong against our pitchers. He`ll end up just like Greg Vaughn, Mike Cameron, Sean Casey, Pokey Reese, Dimitri Young and many, many others..... on SOMEONE else`s team. Then, we will replace that lost Hamilton or Dunn with some old, nothing really working, vet... ahem... like Jeff Conine or Alex Gonzales.... Oh and big deal about going yard... We wouldn't miss Dunn just like we don't miss Vaugn, Casey, Pokey, Young... Cameron was almost 10 years ago, almost no one stays around that long for one team. Do you even watch the freaking games? I really don't think so. Yeah Conine's bad, but Gonzales? Are you kidding me??? He's the best SS we've had since Barry Larkin! Baseball is a hitters game IMO. When you've got a lineup like ours the other team sweats, believe me. Our bullpen will get it together, it's a loooooooong season homey. Baseball's a streaky sport (Watch the Brewers). agreen_112
I would love to see Griffey keep it up and go for 40 HR's. I know it sounds crazy, but I think he's going to have a really good season this year.

But I read the reports and look at the box score and team stats and a 234 team batting average, a bullpen with 9 something ERA, and a defense ranked near the last in the league isn`t going to get it done.
