Should Henry appeal his suspension?

If Pacman gets a break, Henry should pipe up...

Goodell is said to be currently mulling Jone's appeal, as well as what further punishment will be given to Tank Johnson. On the latter, I've heard that Johnson could very easily get a full year in part because it would match the one handed out to Pacman, effectively blunting Pacman's argument that he's been unfairly singled out.

For whatever it might be worth, Keith Olberman claimed several weeks ago that when Pacman was interviewed by Goodell one of the questions he was asked was when he had last visited a stripclub. Jones answered honestly that he had been to a club the night before his meeting with Goodell. Supposedly, sources had already informed Goodell of this and as a result, if Pacman had lied Goodell was going to add another 8 games to the full season suspension. (24 games)

NFLPA sends letter to Goodell asking him to cut Pacman's suspension:

Florio over at PFT suggests it's a CYA move by the union, which strikes me as reasonable. If Pacman gets a break, Henry should pipe up...

My guess is they are using Henry as why pacman should have a shorter suspension. So if they gave henry lesser pacman might appeal again :P

I don't think that CHenry should unless Pac-Man manages to somehow get his sentenced reduced...I also love animals as for MVick if it is found out that he did fight dogs he may be in the AFL real soon...You are going to have all kinds of animals rights group picketing games when the Falcons play...

Is going to the strip club illegal? I know what happens when Pacman goes to strip clubs, but still it's not like he was in a crack house.

I really don't know why Pacman expects Goodell to reduce the suspension, he would look ridiculous in many people's eyes if did such a thing. Besides I thought part of the reasoning behind the suspension was so that God-dell err Goodell could set the tone for his tenure as commish, just take your medicine and stay out trouble Pacman. Thank God you still have your life and a job to go back to once your time in the stupid corner is finished.

Can you imagine Pac and Henry running wild in WVU, I bet there wasn't a untorched sofa for miles.

Who gives a sh*t about him going to a strip club ?? I can't even believe that topic was brought up in conversation. Does he have a history of doing bad things in a strip club ?? Beat a stripper's ass or something ?? If not, this type of question would seem to border on a violation of his privacy. Don't get me wrong, the guy is a f*cking idiot, I'm just saying is all...

WHODEY !!!

Sorry, Army, I have to disagree with you on this one. NFL Chief "Good-all" is attempting to clean-up the IMAGE of the league, so appearances in 'unsavory' locations (strip-clubs, crack houses, illegal bookie parlors, Republican Fund Raisers, etc.) would be considered as tarnishing the league's reputation and is therefore taboo.

Unless there's been a change in Federal Law in the last 25 years, this is legal and enforcable by a corporate entity. In the 80's I worked for the Telluride Ski Area in Colorado, and they were trying to clean up there national image after a series of pr disasters (mayor caught with 2 lbs of coke, etc.). At first they outlawed us going to any bar wearing a ski patrol jacket, but expanded that to include ANY appearance considered either 'improper or impious'. At least one guy who lost his job attempted to sue to get it back, and lost.

Obviously, a different judge may result in a different ruling, and the NFL's anti-trust status may complicate the issue, but I'm going to assume that suspensions and, ultimately, lifetime bans based on questionable morals or poor judgement is enforcable.

I see what you are getting at, but there is nothing illegal about strip clubs whatsoever, unsavory or not. I've been in the Army for 17 years and a Senior NCO, but have frequented MORE than my fair share of strip clubs. Does this paint a bad picture of the Army ?? I think not, but then again, there are always the people who want no one to have any type of fun in their lives and if at all possible should spend there free time away from work reading (insert religious book of choice)... Just saying, I think it's horsesh*t that they ask that question at all regardless of "his" views... Once again though, I get what you are saying...

WHODEY !!!

It would paint a bad picture for the U.S. Army if you didn't frequent them from time to time!

Are you implying that religious groups are in control of the NFL office?

I find the political correctness of the liberal elite far more concerning than any religious groups' actions and IMO think this is the reason behind these types of decisions/actions.

Aren't you guys forgetting something?

Pacman + Stripclub = Shooting (Paralized)

Glock9mm (1)Bag/$ Keeping it real

Yeah, I was going to mention this point. It is all about correlation. Given that one of Pacman's most visible and damning 'crimes' occurred in a strip club, then it seems reasonable to me that his employer would expect part of his self-imposed rehab to include staying away from strip clubs. Doesn't seem too much to ask from my perspective.

Gotcha, didn't keep up with his crime spree and seeing as how it occured in the strip club, I can see how one might be so inclined to have him stay away. At the same time though, I'm sure there are many people who have had alcohol related incidences and I'm sure most still drink (I sure do)... I'm just saying, give the man his t*tties !!! Seriously though, I could care less about him and will bring this back on track by saying if he does get a break in his suspension, I think Henry should as well. I don't see it happening though, as it would make Godell look pretty stupid in my opinion.

No I'm making no suggestions whatsoever in relation to anything involving religion, just trying to relate... Go get your prayer on !!!

WHODEY !!!

Rae Caruth killed someone and was convicted and didn't even get a suspension....

Leonard Little killed someone and was convicted of vehicular homicide while driving drunk and didn't get a suspension....

The Rae Caruth one was a joke obviously since he is serving a life sentence :)

Earlier in the day I was watching NFL Live and heard John Clayton being asked which players were next in Goodell's firing line. Clayton mentioned AJ Nicholson and added that his situation might be more difficult to rule upon since he wasn't currently the memeber of any team. Clayton then added..."I think that's it until another player gets in serious trouble."

No mention of Joey Porter.
