blueridge
A newspaper in Eugene,Oregon, states that, according to a source close to the Ducks' football program, safety J.D. Nelson has signed with the Bengals as a UDFA.
NJ29
From what I've read, Nelson is a real solid player, just a little slow.

KiLBurn
I can't believe Earl Everett didn't get drafted! I am literally shocked. Did he kill someone or something? Maybe he got a 0 on the wonderlic test?I've seen it reported that, while Everett did not score a 0, he scored a 5 on the wonderlic.
princeton
predraft article on Everetthttp://www.thevillagesdailysun.com/article...ts/sports02.txtworkout numbers:Earl Everett, Florida (OLB) (6-2½, 238; 4.75)Everett worked out at the Combine, but had hamstring problems. His results are from Florida's pro day on March 7. He ran 4.71 and 4.78 in the 40, 4.46 in the short shuttle and 7.39 in the cone drill. He also had a 32-inch vertical jump and a 9-foot-5 long jump. He did 19 strength reps at the Combine. He was a linebacker and quarterback in high school and was named a Parade All-American at linebacker. He played as a true freshman. He's a good athlete and plays faster than his timed speed, but he lacks great instincts. Everett will be a very good special teams player. lack of speed probably surprised scouts, causing his free-fall. Maybe it was an injury thing, maybe not. We've tried the "plays faster than he times" thing with many players, including Keiwan Ratliff. At least we're not counting on much more than special teams from this one.
