duus
According to Colin Cowherd, only Peyton Manning is the answer to that question. Really? Wow, and all this time I thought I have heard Palmer mentioned consistently as one of the top few QBs in the league. Let's see ...3 years as a starter, and only the last two were full 16 game years ... and of course last year coming off a terrible injury, but still playing all 16 games.91.5 career QB rating (101.1 and 93.9 for each of the last two years)Nearly 11,000 yards passing in 45 career games78 TDs in 45 gameson and on Oh, and he seemed to do pretty well in the Pro Bowl a couple months back. But he's not a star. No. If winning a championship is what makes you a star, then fine. But then Trent Dilfer becomes a star, and Palmer is not. What a joke. membengal
Don't listen to Cowherd. Seriously.
Edogger
Cowherd is a joke. The only thing he is good at is getting people all worked up and upset over something. Then hangs up on them when they are right. I listen to the guy but only to laugh at him and see how mad he can get people.
DC_Bengals_Fan
Technically it's still in the last 10 drafts until next week, but how about Orlando Pace? He's not a star because he's only the most dominating lineman since Mr. Munoz?I do applaud him for leaving Vick off the list, however. Michael Vick is not a star in this league? I think everybody that follows football has heard of Michael Vick, some people may argue that he is not very good but I don't think anybody will argue that he's not a star. Maybe Mr. Coward that what's I call him, is saying stat wise, how many touchdowns have Carson thrown in the last two years;60. How many touchdowns has Peyton thrown in the last two years; 59. Looks like Carson is right on track with Peyton to me, don't listen to that idiot he has nothing to back up what he says. If he rates superstars on Super Bowl then that means LT is not a superstar or Peyton before this year.

Vick is a star with a lifetime 75 QB rating. Only place he's good is Madden. If he's a star, then the only measure of a star is endorsement contracts, not what happens on the field. But your point is taken - being a "star" in the league has more to do with how well your marketing agency pushes you than what you can actually do. jjakq27
Palmer's name is consistently mentioned with Brady and Manning when people are talking about the best QBs in the league. I am glad he's on our team, that's for sure.

ShulaSteakhouse
Palmer's on pace to put up HOF numbers. Yeah, he's not a "star player," nah. That said, his respect will come when the Bengals' decide to be an annual playoff team. The last 4 years they have not accomplished that, which is sad because Palmer is a QB anyone else in the league other than Indy and NE would love to have on their team as a starter.Brady and Peyton are there every single year in the postseason. It's too bad the Bengals' don't play in the NFC.The time is now, with Pitt's decline and Baltimore's aging stars, to become that annual playoff team Pitt was in the division for so long (and the Ravens for that matter).Anything less and I will be sorely disappointed and disgusted, starting this season.
