richmond_mat Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 With the dillon trade and the kitna restructuring, what were the salary cap effects? I haven't seen this reported anywhere. Someone here knows. Quote
HoosierCat Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 With the dillon trade and the kitna restructuring, what were the salary cap effects? I haven't seen this reported anywhere. Someone here knows. I think trading CD frees up about $1.3 million in cap space this year. I haven't seen terms for Kitna's new deal, but they probably picked up another mil or so there. But there's also O'Neal's deal they have to wedge in, I haven't seen what he's costing. And that additional second round pick will cost 'em some more against the rookie pool (tho the drop from 17 to 24 should save some money, too...).In short (too late!) I dunno. But it seems like we can at least sign all our draft picks without cutting anyone. Quote
R-U-D-I Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 It should all work out fine because even the additional draft picks will cost more money, the additional draft picks will also lead to more cuts eventually... Quote
