First thought: can we ask the commish to suspend Henry for the second 8 games instead of the first 8? Talk about front-loaded...sheesh.

no kidding. we're gonna need some serious steppin-up this off-season/preseason by tab or chatman...or brazell. the first half of that schedule is brutal, BUT....the second half will prime us for a playoff run

Not a bad situation if you ask me. It's all about who's playing the best ball at the end of the season, right? Get healthy and confident with inferior competition to finish out the season and ready for a playoff run.

Certainly sounds good in theory, doesn't it? But boy, they are going to need to be ready from day one. Monday night opener, then a short week before a division road game, then a trip to the west coast, then back to PBS to face the Pats. They are going to need that bye in week 5, I think!

But if they can make it into December at .500 or better they ought to be in good shape.

At KC 2 years in a row? Did they move the Chiefs into the Bengals division?

Sure is weird to see the Bengals have 4 prime time games. Though it sucks that if 2 of them are on NFL network I'll have to go to a bar to watch them.

If the Bengals can get through the first 8 games with a record of 5-3 or better they will win the division.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the only NFL Network game will be the one against the 49ers.

Oh yeah, the Sunday night game would be on NBC as long as they keep it there and don't flex it to a different game.

Took a quick glance at Cleveland, Baltimore and Pittsburgh. Some notes:

Cleveland has a rough start, too. Their opening 5 games are Pitt, Cincy, @ Oakland, Baltimore and @ NE.

Balti's sked is our mirror. Their first half is pretty easy but they get hammered down the stretch. Their second half is Cincy, Cleveland, @ SD, NE, Indy, @ Miami, @ Seattle, and Pitt.

Pitt starts with a cakewalk, @ Cleveland, Buffalo, SF and @ Arizona. But they finish in December with Cincy, @ NE, Jax, @ St. Louis and @ Balti. They are the only team that finishes with 2 straight road games.

F*CKING FIGURES I GO TO AFGHANISTAN AND WE GET 4 PRIMETIME GAMES !!! Anyway, I think i would rather face the tougher teams early in the season and then have our division opponets face them later. i think this works to our benefit. I agree with the 5-3 through the first 8 win the division... Hell, maybe even 4-4... Anyway, I'm due to come home during the f*cking bye week and then for the away game at KC. That sucks, but at least I get time at home... I like this schedule !!!

WHODEY !!!

A few notes about our schedule:

Week 1 - Ravens ... National T.V.; defenses are usually better than offenses in first two games (or so the theory goes)

Week 2 - at Browns ... second straight division game (very important wins); Browns coming off big home win against Steelers to start the season :-)

Week 3 - at Seahawks ... long road trip following homestand to start season; Seattle should be 2-0, having played Bucs and Cardinals.

Week 4 - Patriots ... Another Monday Night game at home (2 of the first 4!); revenge from last year.

Week 5 - bye week ... eerily similar to last year where they played the Pats heading into the bye week, and then things started to fall apart a bit.

Week 6 - at Chiefs ... Bengals coming off bye week, and Chiefs coming off tough game against Jags.

Week 7 - Jets ... Ho hum. Not much interesting about this game, but it scares me for some reason; need as many home wins as possible.

Week 8 - Steelers ... Bengals second straight home game, and third division game of year; Steelers coming off road game against Broncos on Sunday Night.

Week 9 - at Bills ... Bengals on road after two tough home games; Bills coming off tough games versus Ravens and Jets.

Week 10 - at Ravens ... another benchmark division and road game; Ravens playing on short week, having played at Pittsburgh on Monday Night.

Week 11 - Cardinals ... Bengals back home after tough stretch of games; Cardinals travel east.

Week 12 - Titans ... Bengals at home again in consecutive weeks for the second time since the bye week; Titans coming into Cincy after Monday Night road game in Denver.

Week 13 - at Steelers ... Fifth of six divisional games at a place where the Bengals have won the last couple years; Steelers coming off short week having played Miami on Monday Night in Pittsburgh.

Week 14 - Rams ... Bengals third home game in four weeks; Rams first game after two home games.

Week 15 - at Niners ... short week for Bengals; Niners at home for second straight week; only Saturday game of the week.

Week 16 - Browns ... last division game for both teams; Bengals traveling back from west coast trip and Browns coming off home game against Bills.

Week 17 - at Dolphins ... Bengals wrap-up season in south Florida; Miami coming off tough games against Ravens and at Patriots.

So many ironies in the finale at Miami on 12/30.

Joey vs. Levi.

Chris Henry vs. South Beach.

The proximity to New Years Eve.

Oh god, please dont start

After first glance though, I really like this schedule..I'm really hyped about this season

Does anybody think the NFL moved the miami game all the way to the end was because of the Levi-Porter altercation? I think if we got a playoff seed by then, we will rest our starters including Levi.

Nice analysis..On Week 11 though I think you mean the Cardinals traveling east ^_^

At worst I see this team going 13-3...Not including any significant injuries to our most important players if that shall happen.

I don't see us losing to cleveland at home or losing to st.louis.

At worst I see this team going 13-3.

 Dude, whatever you're smoking, pass some my way!

Just my opinion ;)

This schedule is nothing compared to last years schedule. I like 13-3 as well. Lats years final games @Indy, @Denver, Pittsburgh was brutal. This is going to be a great season. Low expectations, chip on their shoulder, experience, hungry. Hopefully some productive defensive rookies, and we're set.
