F$%kin Bu$%sh@t!!! If I was Henry.....

If you were Henry (and given your incoherent ramblings here, you may well be) you'd load up your pimped out "SLIM15" ride with underage hookers and cheap booze and drive on your suspended license out to Goodell's house just to wave your "gat" at him in the presence of armed police. After all, you are a mayjah gangstah, righteous, and the man can't hold you down, even when he pays your half million dollar a year salary. Unfortunately, you'd be such a babbling moron that you'd fail to use your right turn signal as you got into his neighborhood, and you'd be hauled in, photographed, printed, booked, and -- let us not forget - laughed at (again)

:smoke: It doesn't get any better than this. Excellent post TJ.

No mention of Tank Tyler

Assume you mean Tank Johnson. Mort just said on NFL Live that he'll have a meeting with Goodell (a la Henry and pacman) after he gets out of jail and then the hammer will come down on him too.

Johnson, Tyler, M1.....they are all tanks.

All around, that may be one of the best verbal smackdowns I've read all month. Brutal. Concise. Hilarious. Awesome job.

Sadly, I wouldn't be surprised to hear Henry did something like that, because as Chappelle would say, he keeps it real. And that's what happens when keeping it real goes wrong.

As much as I enjoy seeing Henry on the field (when he's there), I actually think what the commissioner is trying to do is in the best interest of the league. I applaud him for trying to make things better, but 8 games ?? I think Marvin and the Bengals organization has handled this situation very well and think the 8 games is a bit overkill. Making an example here has obviously cost Henry and the Bengals organization. I was thinking they would take into consideration what the team has already done with Henry and the suspension would be in the 4 games area. Oh well, Henry is a clown, but is far from done with the Bengals. Yes, I know he's "this close" to a season suspension or worse, but he's allowed to participate in all training camps and the pre-season games. I would think Marvin would give the playing time to others, but the fact he will be able to continue to train with the team helps...

WHODEY !!!

Whats a "gat"?

But isn't it time to show some love to our in house knucklehead? No new felonies in a year. Thats progress and the club should say so publically. Unlike Pacman. That may be why knuckle head only got a 8 game vacation.

No, don't think so. Its a much worse thing for Cheech though. He'll miss his homeboys. Or homegirls. I never have slid a gat down my pants. I don't have one. I never had pre-teens or barely teens in my car, jacuzzi, bedroom, etc. My loss for sure. But Cheech will miss that or he'll miss the NFL.

I guess you and Cheech wont be hanging with the homeboys anytime soon.

You don`t have to be "Gat down my Pants homey" to get bitches.... lots of bitches won`t have anything to do with that. If I were in the NFL, I could get just as many preteen, teenage, MILFs, and cutie Grandmamas as Chris Henry can. And that is without any stolen lugars nudging my jewels.

In my neighborhood, we`d have called Chris Henry plain old WHITE TRASH. Don`t matter what color his skin is!

My thoughts on this situation.

1. If this means anything regarding the draft and taking a day 1 pass catcher. IT WILL be a TE instead of a WR, and it damn well just may be Greg Olsen.

2. The folks who are mad about the situation, seem to be the ones who care more about that W-L colum than anything else. "We were 1-2 without Henry in 06, must mean we'll be 3-5 without Henry in 2007", really pull your head OUT of your ass.

3. Chris Henry....only has Chris Henry to blame.

4. From what I think I'm understanding about this new policy, players are not being punished for their activities outright. Intsead, it's now put under the label of "conduct detremental to the NFL." Very big difference between the 2. Chris Henry was non suspended 8 games for pulling a gun, Chris Henry was suspended because he's been damn cancer to the NFL. It's the same thing teams like the Raiders have done with Jerry Porter and the Iggles with Terrell Owens, just on a much bigger scale.

5. I think the taking away of draft picks however, is just plain and outright wrong. Punish the offender, not the team. I'm still not clear on how a team would potentially lose picks but either way.

6. Chris Henry is getting screwed??? Huh????

Had you or I pulled the same kind of stuff Henry has done, we'd be sitting in PRISON for 3 years (yeah..pulling a gun on folks is going to get you some time) instead of just sitting at home without pay for 2 months.

Chris Henry IS ONE LUCKY SONOFABITCH cause he's not sitting in jail/prison, to think he's getting "gyped" by the NFL is a total and complete JOKE. The NFL is the ONLY think between him and bubba butt raper.

7. Maybe a little....DEFENSE....would help make up for the loss of Henry? How many defensive players have you heard talking about how THEY need to step it up on their side of the ball while Chris is suspended?????

Thats all for now...

I honestly think Henry is done for the year. He has to apply for reinstatement, and if Goodell decides he hasn't rehabbed sufficiently, he simply won't reinstate him. Henry has to have no run-ins with the law until November. That just doesn't seem likely to me.

He won't have the structure of the Bengals to keep him out of trouble, and Goodell is concerned about the NFL's image. If Henry has the slightest slip-up, Goodell just won't reinstate him - giving Henry more and more free time to get into more and more trouble.

Maybe I'm a bit pessimistic on this issue, but I'm not counting on Henry to play a single down in '07 - and maybe ever again.

My question is what happens if the judge in KY decides to make Henry serve the other 88 days on his suspended sentence because of the ticket he got a couple of weeks ago? Is that considered a new "violation" or a continuation of old business? And does the Commish then give him more time off?

Since the commish now reserves the right to mete out NFL punishment before the courts rule on a case, this suspension ought to take Chris' recent traffic/parole problems into account. At least, I would assume so.

You know what happens when you assume....you become a Steeler's fan!@

Honestly I think you are right and Chris Henry pretty much has a clean slate from this point forward and the commish will only take into account any NEW situations.

You might be right. But if that were to happen, I'd imagine the player's union would jump in -- not to defend Henry, but to set up parameters (and even safeguards) against the Chancellor's executive war powers he's more visible to having.

Anything is possible. His suspension on the new conduct policy is in regards to actions before the policy was put into place. So I assume Chancellor Goodell will suspend Henry for wiping boogers under his desk in fifth grade.

I agree, Henry has no one to blame but himself. But I also think that Henry got royally screwed (which in turn royally screws the Bengals) for the sole purpose of being a poster boy. He will have completed an 11 game suspension (not consecutive) by the middle of the 07 season.

Take issue up with the system, not Henry. Again, he's being enabled to do what he, and every other raising hell criminal celebrity out there, are allowed to do.

And we're not Henry. So let's stop that rhetoric. The system isn't fair. Will never be. If you have complaints about that, write a letter to your Congressman. Otherwise, it is what it is.

My biggest reason for Henry getting screwed is that it could hurt our team in '07. Sorry, but I know I'm in the minority here. If this team doesn't win, bitching about Henry will be secondary.

I think I disagree with you here. The players union gave Goodell the go ahead with actions such as this when he met with them and asked their opinion. Gene Upshaw has backed Goodell's ruling and made it clear that no one has put Henry (and Pacman) in this situation other than Henry (and Pacman).

Can you really hear any other players union chief saying these kinds of things? For the most part, most players in the NFL don't want to be associated with "thugs" and are willing to let Goodell have his way with them. I doubt you'll hear much fuss if Goodell sits Henry for the rest of the year... or even tells both he and Pacman that their NFL careers are over. (I'm not saying the latter will happen... but I do expect Henry to miss all 16 games this season).
