DILLON TRADED

I love the trade, as no one was offering more than a third and looking at cutting Dillon, well, pissed me off... We cut salary, rid ourselves of a cancer, and add a second rounder !!! Best case scenario in my book !!!

You should check out the New England forum rooms, they don't know what the hell to make of this trade and someone said Irvin was on ESPN saying we got robbed or some s**t... f**k that crack head B***H, he don't know s**t, he needs to go back to dealing drugs... Loser...

WHODEY !!!

damn and just think there were people screaming for Mike Browns head a few weeks ago cause he wouldn't take a second DAY draft pick for Dillon....How about some crow to go with that second rounder?

Oh, I don't think They'll have a problem with Dillon this year, but I only expect one good season left for Corey...But the pats had picks to burn, this deal really is a plus for both teams.

All i have to say is...i told you so :D I told you that we were not gonna get rid of dillon for anything less than a 2nd rounder and if we couldnt we would keep him. B)

This is a great move for both teams. Patriots get a very good back with a couple to a few good years left in him and they get a starter with size and the ability to carry the rock 20-30 times a game. The Bengals get rid of a locker room problem and receive a good pick, a mid to late 2nd rounder 56th overall, which is around where dillon was drafted. Now the Bengals have the ability to draft a good young running back in the 2nd and not hurt their chances at picks in other areas. Smiles all around :D

I expect another marvelous marvin draft!!!!!!!!!!!

It is funny that most of the pro-Dillon guys on this board have flip-flopped and are now taking a different side.  :player:

You noticed that too, eh?

Dillon had proponents? Since when? I was probably one of the last Dillon defenders, but even I threw in the towel on the guy after his BDSS performance. I am pleasantly surprised to be wrong that we wouldn't get more than a third for him...but that's like being wrong about saying you wouldn't win the lottery; it isn't like you're upset. B)

Kevnz - It seems that we agree quite often on this board...

I remember how many people graded this off-season as a failure just two weeks ago, now it has began to look pretty damn good up and to this point... Obviously our draft selections will help us determine even more in 6 days... Can you believe they actually gave us their first second-rd pick for that punk? Most everyone was hammering Mike and Marvin for not pulling the trigger for a third-rounder, interesting... Most of us who spoke positively only asked that everyone judge the off-season when it became completed - it wasn't done two weeks ago, nor is it a finished product at this point... However, if anyone says it is a failure as of now, then that person should look themselves in the mirror and ask themselves what they have done wrong in educating themselves on how to succeed in the NFL?

We will fill every remaining hole w/ a fairly high pick (that doesn’t guarantee that each will be great players, but Marvin’s judgment has been pretty damn good so far you must admit) and add much needed depth in several areas at the same time... DT, CB and WR are the deepest positions in the draft and 2 of the 3 really fit our needs, w/ a speed receiver also not being a bad thought... I hope we get lucky one more time and Jake Peavy drops to us in the second round - I know its not a glamour pick, but he would take care of that C spot for us until 2014...

Our position feels very good right now...

Bengals44,

Yeah there were a lot of people bitchin and moanin about the offseason cause the team didn't pull a Snyder and screw themselves for years to come....With all the A+ moves Marvin has pulled off, Marvin, I repeat MARVIN has shown he's the man. Power struggle Corey? bu bye...funny thing, NE wasn't on Coreys wish list....Old washed up talent that costs too much? Enjoy the old folks home, er I mean Oakland mr Sapp. Don't want to work for the greatest defensive mind in the NFL? See you Mr Spikes, and we'll gladly take a 3rd round pick for you.....These are things that show that Marvin is in total control and this team will have Marvin's fingerprints all over a Lombardi trophy in the very near future.

i was one of them, but if u wanna do some research everytime i made an assessment, it was up till now and wasnt a final grade. and 2ndly, i am a dillon supporter and proud of it. I am glad for both sides, I havent flipped the coin at all. I now want to buy a silver new england dillon jersey as well. I said if we get rid of him, we need a 2nd, or keep him...and guess what we got what we deserve. so any haters out there for dillon, just be happy for the 2nd and move on...im sure dillon will.

Exactly...

I know I've said more than once for everyone to simply "Let Marvin work his plan" - and now maybe more of those non-believers are seeing part of his plan come into fruition.... The man knows what the hell he is doing - were talking youth and depth and keep that process going into the future... As veterans out price themselves, they get replaced by the cheaper and the younger, if you can evaluate talent, you can make it work...

To be honest, this hasnt been a bad offseason. My problems though are simple...

Nate Webster

Deltha O'Neil

Neither are good, no matter what people here want to think

True. They really weren't good in the previous systems they played in. We shall see how they fare in Marvins. I predict it'll be improved, if not greatly. :player:
