James_Brooks21 Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2771925That kills it for all the people who wanted us to pick him up for a third down back. The Bengals would not touch him with a ten foot pole now. Plus he was too long in the tooth anyway for them to pick him up. He just cost himself a little money in the free agency pool. Quote
Stripes Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 I'm inclined to think a good DUI is exactly what the Bengals are looking for in a player. I don't want Rhodes anyways. Quote
agreen_112 Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 He should fit in just fine around here... Bring him in!!! Quote
WhoDeyForever Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 Don't sign this guy..The last player we need is a player with off the field troubles. Quote
agreen_112 Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 Do you seriously think we should sign Ted Ginn at #18? Ginn's too small, were would we use him? As a punt returner? No way would we waste our first pick on him... you'r nuts. Quote
Kazkal Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 Mybe he wants ginn as a CB Rhoades would be to $$$ for what we want anyways. Quote
James_Brooks21 Posted February 21, 2007 Author Report Posted February 21, 2007 Mybe he wants ginn as a CB Rhoades would be to $$$ for what we want anyways. Why in the hell would Marvin Lewis draft a guy to play cornerback that he has never seen play at cornerback. If you tell me from his high school days you might need to go get your self checked out. If the Bengals drafted Ted Ginn Jr. that might qualify as the worst first round picks we ever made considering all the help we need on defense. Give it up buddy Ted Ginn will not be in a Bengals uniform. Quote

derekshank Posted February 21, 2007 Report Posted February 21, 2007 I'm a huge OSU fan... but Ginn is going to be an absolute NFL flop. He's small, and all he has at his disposal is speed. Guys like Steve Smith and Santana Moss make it based on their quickness and route running.Ginn basically just runs down the sideline all day long outrunning man coverage. That just will not work in the NFL. The disparity in talent in college is a lot different, and Ginn will not get the amount of separation like he did at OSU.He's the second coming of Raghib (Rocket) Ismail. I feel sympathy for any team that wastes a first round pick on him. 3rd or 4th round? Sure... but no way will he live up to 1st round status. Quote
Whur CHad At? Posted February 21, 2007 Report Posted February 21, 2007 Ginn won't work out at the Combine becuase of his ankle(yeah right). He is gonna wait till the Pro Day so his coaches can fiddle with his numbers. Cheater, typical OSU Cheater Quote
