Count on it!I'd love to share your optimism, but IMHO, without some help with the offensive line and multiple defensive positions, I just don't see it happening. Stripes
I'll guarantee a playoff berth, but I'm not ready to say Superbowl. I expect to contend, but a lot has to go right for a team, no matter how talented, for it to reach The Big One.
jjakq27
After watching Addai and Rhodes tonight, I think I have changed my mind about getting another RB in the draft. I don't think Kenny Watson can provide enough running the ball like Rhodes does for Indy. Also we need a better pass rush to get to that point. I know Grossman cost the Bears several times but the Colts had pretty decent pressure and stopped them on thrid down most of the night. Take away Hester's run and the game isn't even close.I'll take a playoff birth for next season and roll the dice from there. I hope the Bengals are hungry after seeing that game. Next season starts tomorrow. WHO DEY!

GregCook
Yes it is offseason, thankfully and I think its time to sleep like Da Bears until draft day. But of course the Bengals are going to get defensive help. Draft day will give them at least 2 starters on defense. Maybe Mike Brown gets a good trade done for extra first day picks by trading down? Maybe a worthwhile starter or two is found in FA before draft day? True, they have their holes on defense and will need to keep some of their RFA's. Plus and I can't overemphasize this, they need to stop losing top draft picks to injury and criminal conduct. They do that, yes the Bengals should be playing in January 2008.This time next year, the Bengals will be playing for the title.
