from bengals.com:

ROBERTS TO RAMS: One of the nicest guys in coaching re-surfaced in the NFL Monday when former Bengals special teams coach Al Roberts hooked on with the Rams in the same capacity after a four-year pro hiatus.

While Bengaldom identifies Roberts with the biggest special teams disasters in team history that included the NFL’s lowest-ranked unit in 2002, Rams head coach Scott Linehan has pursued him for two years.

“I learned more about special teams in my one year with Al Roberts than any of my years in coaching,” Linehan told The St. Louis Post-Dispatch. “His passion for the sport is second to none, at least of the time I’ve been around.”

:o:lmao:

Maybe the Rams will draft a punter out of Purdue in the fourth round now and then not be able to decide if he is a punter, kicker, or both....

Sorry still bitter about the whole Dorsch thing..... <_<

I can't believe it. I thought the Bengals kept him around because he was nearing retirement.

I wanna be a coach too. Where do I sign up?

There is a reason he had a 4 year coaching hiatus. Some teams just don't realize that when a coach or player is out of football for an extended period it is because they cannot coach or play at the level required to succeed in the NFL. Good luck St. Louis, hope you can stomach poor special teams play.
