Terrall owens(randy moss would be on list but after not producing a few years Fitz and boldin should be preatty high too)Chad Johnson is just the easy scapegoat when the teams losing...if were winning every one loves him and has no problem.when were losing him he's a big mouth that should shut up and improve his game "shrug"
Stripes
Rudi should be traded. The rest of the guys had a bad year.goes with the teritory. Time to facce facys Rudi cant win a game by himself. He is all Palmer. We need a real threat at RB. We should trade Rudi! the real ? is what could we get for him?Was he all Kitna in 2003? HoTbOy
OVERRATED-What are we rating them against other sorry a** players...BSims, JSmith, SAdams,BRobinson,RJohnson...I don't think that CJohnson is overrated not when you lead your conference in yardage 4 years in a row something that has never been done before in the league...UNDERRATED- RGeathers, KZampese,RJeanty,KWatson... BengalPimp
I agree with Thurmanation about Chad too. His antics and missed oppurtunities are what make him a bit overrated IMO. I want to see Chad come out and just play FOOTBALL this year. If he has another season with less than 10 TD's, he's 100% overrated!!!Success as a WR is not solely predicated on Touchdowns. You say that if he has "less than 10TD's, he 100% overrated" Thats absurd. You are blinded soley by the TD. Thats why you jock Henry. Well, who do you think gets them in the position to score? CHAD...and CHAD's YARDAGE. Here's something that maybe you didnt know, The Bengals arent just automatically awarded the ball on the 10 or 15 yard line every series(the only place your boy Henry decides to show up) HOW THE HELL do you think that they get in the position for ANYONE to score? BY GAINING YARDS......Chad's receiving, Rudi's Running, TJ's receiving YARDS.To discredit him and his(NFL Record) 4 straight conference receiving yardage titles, by saying he overrated because he doesnt score 15 TD's a season is ridiculous.-----HEAVEN FORBID IF CHAD WERE TO GET INJURED AND ALL OF YOU SEE WHAT OUR RECEIVING CORPSWOULD BE LIKE WITHOUT HIM, AND HOW MUCH OUR PASSING GAME WOULD SUFFER FROM HIM NOT BEING ON THE FIELD....I GUARANTEE NOBODY WILL EVER CALL HIM OVERRATED AGAIN.Fortunately for us, he has always been healthy.....--- If you think that he is overrated because TJ and Henry had 9 TD's as opposed to Chad's 7 , then think about this..TJ had 2 more TD's and 3 more catches, BUT Chad had 288 more receiving yards..to put that into perspective, lets say the Bengals started out on their 25 yard line on 4 drives...Chad's extra 288 yards puts them on the 3 YRD LINE on 4 scoring drives...288/4= 72.....just as an example of what the yardage means and not to discount that. Also lets look at Henry 9 TD's as compared to Chad's 7....BUT Chad had 764 MORE YARDS.....once again lets just say that the Bengals start 10 drives on their 23 YRD LINE....Chad's extra 764 yards puts them on the 1 YRD LINE on 10 other drives.....I Simply was using that as an example, as to what the yearly yardage totals he has TRULY MEANS.Wheteher or not HE scores the TD, HIS YARDAGE IS WHAT HELPS TO PUT THEM IN THE POSITION FOR WHOEVER catches the TD pass.....Who do you think Henry owes most of his TD's to? 7 of his 9 were from 16 yrds or less. For a good example, look at the Cleveland game Nov. 26Henry had 2 TD's of 7 and 10 yds....total 5 catches for 41 yards......Chad had 0 TD's but 7 catches for 123 ydsLook at how the TD's were set up....the 1st...Bengals start at their 18 yd line---from their own 41 Chad gets them accross midfield with a 12 yd catch to the CLE 47..Rudi runs for 3 to the 44...ON 3RD AND 7 Palmer goes deep to Chad, whom they cant cover, and he draws a 36 yd pass-interference to put them on the 8 yd line.....Henry ends up with a 7 yd TD.-----Who gets the credit?Henry's 2nd TD...Tory James intercepts a pass, ball on 25 Yd line..rudi runs for 3...ball on 22 and once again on 3RD AND 7 Chad catches a 12 pass to the 10. Henry gets the 10 TD reception.Chad catches the passes gains the yards, AND I WISH THEY KEPT TRACK OF WHAT HE PICKS UP FROM DEFENSIVE PASS-INTERFERENCE PENALTIES THAT HE DRAWS..and puts them in position for you guys to give all the credit to someone else.....nice
jditty47
if you are argueing chad is overrated then so is marvin harrison. id argue that wayne is the better receiver on the colts.

Harrison has always been a bigger endzone threat than Chad, and he isn't the poor leader Chad has often times decided to be. The two are nearly nothing alike. Harrison has always been a bigger endzone threat than Chad, and he isn't the poor leader Chad has often times decided to be. The two are nearly nothing alike.alright lets look at it this way. he is more important to his offense than marvin is. his success has allowed a 7th round pick in TJ and a 3rd round pick who nobody thought would succeed in the league to flourish. and also let me remind you on a much worse of a team when he arrived. Marvin doesnt do much but for himself. Wayne is what, a first or 2nd round pick? he does it all for himself, He WAS going to be good regardless. Lets look at it another way. Chad in Indy's offense? WOW. Marvin in Cincy's offense? i definately dont think hed have the same success. and how do you know that chad has been a poorer leader. id argue that marvins quietness and lead by example was worse for indy during their previous playoff runs. Chads explosiveness fires people up, so i wouldnt give the edge to either.

ShulaSteakhouse
Where's Chad when you really need him in December?15 @IND L 34-16 3 catches for 37, no TD's16 @DEN L 24-23 3 catches for 32, no TD's17 PIT L 23-17 (OT) 4 catches for 53, no TD'sJerry Rice's one month records you've never heard of until Chad goes on one of his streaks. No one's arguing he's not great by definition, but he over-hypes himself and it makes him look foolish when he doesn't show up for big/tough games. (too busy getting IV's 1/4 of the time) Chad's far from being the the most complete WR in the NFL, or one of the best all-time. He'll eventually be the Bengals' best.I get tired of seeing his face everywhere frankly, less mouth and more consistency please. That goes for his overrated o-line too.Rudi is what he is, a great weapon to have in the 2nd half with a lead. Similar to what Pitt had with Bettis and Parker, and the Pats with Dillon and Mauroney. The Bengals' first round man can't take a walk without getting hurt. Find a new one. Fix this team up and get rid of some of these overrated slouches, and give underrated guys more help around them. Marv's draft choices this year are absolutely critical for him to hold his respect in this town long term.
Tasher
Jerry Rice = NEVER LED the conference in receiving yards FOUR straight years.Chad Johnson = ONLY PLAYER EVER to lead a conference in receiving yards FOUR straight years, and against the likes of Manning, Brady, and all the other TOP QBs are in teh AFC right now, along with the best receivers.AND Chad tops them all in the conf on a team that has 2 x 1000 yard receivers with a QB that distributes the ball very equitably. Oh yeah, and the fourth year that he led the conference in receiving yards, he did not even have the most receiptions on his TEAM.YEAH, he is OVER RATED! Sure.Go back to smoking your off-season crack pipe of bitterness.
Spain
TDB, That O line was firing on all cylinders whem kitna was here. Great backs , can run behind bad blocking. Rudi cant do that. While I hate to bash on the guy. He is decent. I just feel to win the big one we need a LT.

IT IS NOT HIM THAT DISAPPEARS ITS PALMERS DECISION. you need to learn about football i swear to god. go back and watch those tapes, tell me he isnt running his routes at full speed or blocking on run plays. sick of your over the top views to diss certain players on the team. far from being the most complete? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL. TELL ME 3 MORE COMPLETE THAN CHAD IN THE NFL RIGHT NOW???????????
