New Years Resolutions

I know New Years was a couple of weeks ago but here are a few of my wants and resolutions for the Bengals in the 2007 season:

1. Scrap the No-huddle or the checkoffs at the line.

Too many false-starts and delay-of-game penalties have killed this team while running it

2. Rudi should gain back some of the weight he lost this season

He is not the hammer he was in 03 and 04 since he dropped the weight

3. The Bengals will stop drafting idiots regardless of their talent

Marvin and Co. are not camp counselors. Give me Kevin Kaesviharn over guys like Chris Henry and Odell Thurman

4. They will relieve Chuck of his duties should he have another subpar season

I will give him a bit of a pass because of the injuries but his in-game adjustments are not effective and neither are his schemes

5. They will somehow strenghten their defensive line either through the draft or FA

Marvin cannot continue to say that guys played well and they just have to make plays. Watching the playoffs makes me appreciate what a fierce pass rush can do

6. This team should be hungry after falling short in 2006

I really thought they played that way until they beat Pittsburgh in week 3. After that things eroded over the course of the season and there was no passion and too much bitching

7. Chad stops with all of the non-football related things and focuses on football

He needs to be the guy he was last year or in 2004. Too many dropped passes on routine plays killed this offense at times.

8. Carson Palmer's knee continues to heal

There is no denying the knee injury had an affect on his play. He might have had 5000 yards passing this year were it not for all of the overthrows

And if we're lucky Central Mich will hire Paul Alexander as their HC to replace Brian Kelly. Or did they hire a coach already? Alexander has been here how long, without a single alternative job offer? Speaks for itself. (and he's an assistant HC)

One thing about Chuck and Paul, you never have to worry about losing them.

I would say this team's fortunate to have kept Bratkowski and Zampese for another year as well.

I agree with you about Chuck Shula.

But you are the most negative person on this board by far....think happy thoughts

Oh man, if you think Shula is the most negative person here, I have some real winners to introduce you to!

Well Billy, there's a difference between a**h***s (Steelers fans) and negativity (Browns fans).

I kid. I kid.

Triumph says, "I poop on Ray Fittipaldo"

I don't kid. I don't kid.

Well that's one that bit the dust already. There are still have seven left.
